Do women of today’s work force still feel the o! se"ism of the women in

men* Women &sed to !e +iewed as a lesser to man in e+ery as#ect of life* This

+iew carried o+er into the work #lace* There are certain o!s that #eo#le consider

to !e a ,man’s o!- and that women ha+e no !&siness 'ettin' in+ol+ed in these

careers* .or e"am#le( /n'ineerin' is a male dominant career felid* When #ickin'

my maor comin' into colle'e had no idea what wanted to !ecome* sat down

with my fa+orite teacher( soccer coach and 'ood friend llie Ur!anski and asked

for her ad+ice* She asked me a few sim#le )&estions like( ,what is yo&r fa+orite

s&!ect-( , what makes yo& ha##y- and ,what do yo& like to do with yo&r free

time-* fter answerin' all of these what seemed like childish )&estions she told

me that she tho&'ht !y !est fit wo&ld !e en'ineerin'*

had ne+er considered en'ineerin' !efore and )&ite frankly had no idea

what it was* knew that en'ineers !&ilt st&ff !&t not m&ch other than that* fter a

lot of research and some ,so&l searchin'- decided that en'ineerin' was the way

wanted to 'o* ettin' into the en'ineerin' #ro'ram was a !ree3e and that’s

when the comments started to hit me* learned o&t )&ickly that en'ineerin' was

!ased idea* fter talkin' to a few of my classmates was set on the idea of

ine)&ality in the work#lace and how it has chan'ed o+er the years* ccordin' to

earned* This has !ecome known as the wa'e 'a#* 6y 'enre #rod&ct shows a

So as we all know men and women do ha+e different stren'ths* 6en tend

to !e more #hysical while women ha+e a more emotional side* B&t do these
