Aim of the Advanced CourseThe ESSO Advanced Sarcoma Course aims at discussing evidence-based clinical decision-making in the management of extremity and retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcomas.
Clinical work-up and technical intraoperative issues will be revisited in detail and updated evidence-based data will be discussed. Experts in the field of sarcoma management will provide tips and tricks in “How I do it” based on videos and case presentations.
This multidisciplinary program will combine both practical surgical strategies in disease management and knowledge transfer.
The course will include a session with sarcoma surgeries performed in a lab. Participants will have the opportunity to perform simulated operations under the supervision of experts. This course is recommended for candidates planning to sit for the EBSQ examination in Surgical Oncology and will include all items of sarcoma management listed in the core curriculum (please refer to ESSO website, www.essoweb.org).
