“I wonder if I really have listened carefully enough to the God of history, the God of my history, and have recognized the Divine when God called me by my name, broke the bread, or asked me to cast out my nets after a fruitless day? Maybe I have been living much too fast, too restlessly, too feverishly, forget-ting to pay attention to what is happening here and now, right under my nose. Just as a whole world of beauty can be discovered and one flower, so the great grace of God can be tasted in one small mo-ment. Just as no great travels are necessary to see the beauty of creation, so no great ecstasies are needed to discover the love of God. But you have to be still and wait so that you can realize that God is not in the earthquake, the storm, or the lightning, but in the gentle breeze with which God touches your back.” FROM HENRI NOUWEN’S THE GENESEE DIARY

July 26 , 2020 Seventeenth Sunday Ordinary Time
Open Churches Just a reminder that St. Aloysius Church is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is open on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Immaculate Conception will now be closed Mon-day through Saturday due to some unwanted activities around the area. It will be open on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. You are very wel-come to pay a visit to any one of the Churches. God’s blessing’s and graces to you.
Opening of Sunday Masses Sunday Masses re-open we have a completely new schedule for those Masses in both Churches. While it stands to reason, that I cannot offer seven Masses on the weekend. Masses have to be changed to accommodate one priest. Many of our retired priests may feel themselves compromised, because of their personal medical issues or they simply don’t wish to venture out during the COVID-19 vi-rus...WHICH HAS NOT COME TO AN END. Priests are only allowed to say three Masses on a weekend by Canon Law. The Archbishop has granted only one more Mass (4) to those priests who have two parishes. Also, because of COVID-19 the Archdiocese has suggested that we gather for Masses in the bigger parish that provides more room for parishioners to attend. Please recall how expensive it is to have a visiting priest. The both parishes simply cannot keep up that expense. The following will be the weekend Mass schedule for Immaculate Conception and St. Aloysius Church: Saturday Vigil Mass This will be the combined 5 p.m. Mass at Immacu-late Conception and the 4 p.m. at St. Aloysius into a 4:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius
Sunday Masses 7:30 a.m. in English at The Immaculate Conception Church. 9:00 a.m. in Polish at The Immaculate Conception Church.
The Combined 10:30 a.m. Mass at The Immaculate Conception Church and the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius will be combined into an 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius Church. Unfortunately, there will not be a 9 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Aloysius.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone. However, this is TEMPORARY as all Masses will have to change in a very short time when all the parishes come together in Southington.
Priests for Life Priests for Life is offering a special lineup of evening programming, 7 nights a week at 9:00 p.m. ET fea-turing in-depth teachings and commentary by Na-tional Director Fr. Frank Pavone, and guest appear-ances by other leaders. A special emphasis on the elections, and a lot of interchange with the audience, including special supplementary material for which viewers can sign up, will characterize the broad-casts. Fr. Frank will also delve into the scriptures and provide a toolkit of pro-life projects and activi-ties. Watch at www.EndAbortion.TV or any other platforms listed on that page.

Come join in praying the most powerful weapon against evil this Saturday July 25th outside St. Dominic's church at 9 a.m.

St. Aloysius 8/15/20 at 9 a.m. St. Thomas 8/22/20 at 8:30 a.m. immediately after 8 a.m. Mass St. Dominic 8/29/20 at 9 a.m.
Prayer for Peace and Racial Healing
Through your goodness, open our eyes to see the dignity, beauty, and worth of every human being. Open our minds to under-stand that all your children are brothers and sisters in the same human family. Open our hearts to repent of racist atti-tudes, behaviors, and speech, which de-mean others. Open our ears to hear the cries of those wounded by racial discrimi-nation, and their passionate appeals for change. Strengthen our resolve to make amends for past injustices and to right the wrongs of history. And fill us with courage that we might seek to heal wounds, build bridges, forgive and be forgiven, and estab-lish peace and equality for all in our com-munities. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
