SPROUTED BUCKWHEAT GRANOLA Created  by  erin

Yields:  6  cups    3 ½ cups of sprouted buckwheat

3/4 cup of soaked chia seeds 3/4 cup hemp seeds

¾ cup shredded coconut ¾ cup coconut water, or water

2 tsp dried lavender 2 tbsp maca

4 tbsp spirilina ½ tbsp. turmeric powder

1/2 tbsp lemon juice and some zest

Sprout the buckwheat by soaking the 3 ½ cups for 8-10 hours in the fridge. Before soaking, try to rinse the

buckwheat seeds really well. After 8-10 hours, drain and rinse a couple of times until you get the slimy film off of the seeds. Lay them out on a flat baking tray and put the tray on a slight angel so that the excess water can run off

of them. Do this for 2 days, rinsing twice each day, or until you seed a little tail beginning to grow.

Once you have you sprouted granola, place the 3 ½ cups in

a large bowl. Add the chia and hemp seeds.

In a blender, blend the rest of the ingredients until smooth. Pour the mixture into the bowl and mix until combined. Shelf life is 1 week as these are very fresh ingredients.

Essential Beginnings, created by Azure Campbell, is located on the lower level of Oshawa’s Eternal Hot Yoga. It is a space devoted to host numerous educational workshops that revolve around natural living, highlighting the importance of essential oils.

Essential Oils naturally complement yoga by supporting physical and mental strength and focus through the impulse of the fragrances. Essential oil’s are known as nature’s first medicine. They stimulate the endocrine and nervous system, and are very effective towards ones emotions.

Young Living’s 100% pure oils can create an environment that supports

deeper yoga practice. Book a free consultation with Azure of Essential Beginnings to personalize your oils.

LET IT GO: If you try to “finish” the bottles, it will only encourage the bad habit of using and buying the same products. Let them go. I started with all of my handheld room sprays and replaced them with homemade ones.  RESEARCH: The main ingredients needed to make your homemade cleaning

solutions and the scents that you enjoy the most (essential oils are key!). GET CRAFTY: Make your cleaners and enjoy the results: You’re saving money, creating something that’s your own, saving the environment, AND the health of everyone in the house. Baking soda, lemon, vinegar, and essential oils are all alternatives to concocting your own blend. Now you do the research!
