Overarching Findings Inanefforttoincreaseaccesstohealthy,culturallyappropriatefruitsandvegetablestodifferentethniccommunitiesinPortland,Maine,keyinformantinterviewswereconductedwithindividualsfromfourdifferentcommunities.ThefourcommunitiesweretheSpanishspeakingcommunity,Arabicspeakingcommunity,Somalicommunity,andFrenchspeakingcommunity.Foreachofthesecommunitiestenindividualswereinterviewedtodeterminefoodpurchasingpatterns,availabilityofethnicproduce,andtoidentifytenofthemostpopulardishesinthecommunity.Additionally,storeownersandcustomerservicerepresentativesfromlocalethnicmarketswereinterviewedtofurtherassesstheavailabilityofethnicproduce.Belowisabriefsummaryofcombinedfindingsfromthefourcommunities.Lattersectionsofthisreportprovidespecificdetailsforeachcommunity.
