Etisalcom Bahrain Co. W.L.L. was established in March 2005 as a new entrant telecom company licensed to provide national and global telecom and IT services. Etisalcom is the first private sector service provider, and a credible alternative, for fully integrated Information Communications Technology (ICT) solutions, including next generation voice, video and data services, in the Kingdom of Bahrain and beyond. Etisalcom delivers competitive end-to-end information and communications solutions globally, through strategic alliances and key partnerships with major international carriers and providers. The company recognises that market opportunity is not the only requirement for success. An appropriate business structure is the synthesis of people (organisation) and technology aligned fully to the overall business objective and strategy.

Etisalcom is managed by a group of professionals and experts that have been in the telecom business for more than 30 years. Their experiences came from working in the incumbent Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) especially in business development. They have been responsible for most of Batelco new business development in the region. This experience has been the driver in the establishment of Etisalcom as well as its initiative in acquiring businesses in the region. Such initiative was apparent when Etisalcom managed the bidding process for a consortium known as Qatar Integrated Unified Communication (QUIC) consortium for bidding for the second mobile license in the state of Qatar. The consortium included Belgacom, Omantel, Gulf Finance House, and Etisalcom.

In search for competencies in a very competitive marketplace, Etisalcom established a technology company in the Kingdom of Bahrain called ICT Flex W.L.L. Etisalcom is currently holding 100% of the equity of ICT Flex which has the intellectual rights for the source code of a converged BSS system. ICT Flex also has experience in the design and deployment of New Generation Network (NGN), Class 5 Voice over IP platforms, Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint Wireless, and Bulk SMS solutions.

Wholesale DID

This product is targeted mainly at firms located outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. Etisalcom will basically sell a bulk of IP-Phone numbers to the firm and will charge it a one-off fee and then periodically based on usage and a pre-paid model. Further the firm will then sell such numbers on a retail basis to its own customers who may be resident out of Bahrain.

International Calling Services (ICS)

Etisalcom offers international calling services to meet the requirements of its corporate and individual clients. Furthermore, Etisalcom solution offers the most flexibility of integration with client platform as a number of connectivity methods are available to connect to the platform. This solution will ensure the best quality solution to the client calling and business needs at the most appropriate cost.


High Bandwidth Radio Links

Microwave links using radio waves antennas with range wavelengths as long as kilometres with frequencies between (0.3 GHz) and (100 GHz). These types of antennas can provide different types of networks (i.e. point to point, Point to multi points … etc.) also can carry high bandwidth capacity even more than 1 GB as an aggregated bandwidth. Etisalcom provide the full range of those solutions also authorized to use licensed frequencies and free licensed as well up on the customers needs and the solutions required.

ETISALCOM MESSAGING SERVICE (ESMS)

Text Messaging has always been one of the most powerful and effective tools to engage your customers, staff or prospective clients to your business.

Etisalcom Messaging Service allows you to send text messages to recipients in Bahrain and a large number of international destinations at very low rates. eSMS has web based interface which allows you to send messages to individual or groups of recipients. The eSMS HTTP API allows developers to send messages through applications. Etisalcom eSMS service modes are as follow:

2. Web Portal The web portal allows authenticated users to send messages to mobile numbers by either entering multiple recipient mobile numbers, or by choosing mobile numbers from contacts saved in the user’s private Address Book on the portal, or by choosing one or more groups of contacts that the user has already created. Address Book entries can be created one at a time or by uploading a CSV file containing the details of the contacts. Privileged users can also create their own subaccounts and manage their own hierarchy of users.

3. Email To SMS An authenticated user can send an SMS to a recipient by composing an email and sending it to [email protected].

4. Two Way Messaging

An SMS sent to a short code number or even to a GSM mobile hosted at Etisalcom can be forwarded to a predefined group of mobile recipients and also emailed to any predefined group.

5. Outlook Mobile Service (OMS)

OMS is new feature introduced by Microsoft on Outlook 2007 and higher, whereby an authenticated can send an SMS by using Outlook.

ETISALCOM IP PBX (EPBX)

The ETS IP PBX is a standalone, flexible, and reliable PBX. It features Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Auto Attendant, Voice Mail, Unified Messaging, FAX, Call Routing, Conference server. It is based on a modular architecture providing scalability and flexibility in configuring a PBX matching the needs of your business. It can handle both calls from/to the PSTN as well as VoIP calls. Due to its VoIP capabilities the ETS IP PBX allows for building a virtual office comprising multiple remote locations. All PBX management as well as call initiation can be done via a web interfaces. The ETS IP PBX supports an intelligent IVR system which serves the auto attendant. It is available for use by both the main reception lines and departments. Auto attendant is also supported at the user/extension level through the voice mail system. All greeting prompts are completely customizable by the company and departments.

eFlex Customer Care & Billing is a converged billing solution for next generation networks. eFlex Customer Care & Billing is a modular and flexible solution which can accommodate in many business models. Following is the solution overview.

The eFlex Billing System provides the partition management system by which Customer can assign create more VNO’s (virtual network operator). Each VNO will be able to have its own carriers along with their tariff. Each VNO will have access to web interface and can manage its operation.

Telekom Malaysia International MPLS

Etisalcom provides Collocation services for Telekom Malaysia (TM) allowing both parties to offer international MPLS services over TM’s Global Network. This is a unique service as it is the first International MPLS services towards the East from the GCC region. This route provides the most economical way for connectivity towards Southeast Asia.

Tawasul Telecom Regional MPLS

Etisalcom also provides Collocation services for Tawasul Telecom allowing both parties to offer regional MPLS services over Tawasul’s GCC MPLS Network. This is a unique service as it is the exclusive provider of managed services within all GCC countries. This route provides the most economical way for connectivity towards GCC.

Termination

Etisalcom provides a carrier grade termination service thanks to the interconnect agreement that it currently has with the major national carriers operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Etisalcom can provide very competitive rates for terminating international incoming calls over the IP cloud. The terminated traffic must be within the industry standard with CLI presence and quality of services. Currently there are a number of International Carriers that have chosen to route their international calls to Bahrain through Etisalcom.
