Take part in exciting leadership opportunities at every grade level. They will make new friends and learn what it is like to be part of a dynamic, supportive high school. Grade 10 students participate in an overnight camp experience for a week of skill development and friendship building with student leaders from Grades 11 & 12 - an experience not to be missed!

Academic SuccessEtobicoke Collegiate has a history of Academic Success.Weprepare our students for the rigors of post-secondary education,and develop independent, critical thinkers. Many of our grade 12students are University bound  and graduating as Ontario Scholars. We also offer Co-operative education to enhance learning andexperience.

Robotics & TechnologyWe offer many courses in the technology department.  Many of ourstudents have a keen interest in this growing field and have chosento continue on after they have graduated.  Apart from theconstruction including electrical and plumbing and auto courses, wealso have robotics, manufacturing and technological designclasses. 

Cooperative EducationWe have a dynamic and thriving cooperative education programwhere students at the grade 10, 11 and 12 levels are given theopportunity to obtain two, three or four credits a year by working intheir community.  This is an excellent chance to experience theircareer of interest and see if it is really an area that they want topursue.

Arts ProgramMusic, Art and Drama are a big part of ECI's curricular andextra-curricular program. Strings, instrumental and vocal coursesare offered from grades 9 to 12. . Photography, animation and visualarts opportunities are available at all levels and develop creativeinitiatives.

Student Life - Where You Belong

There is something for every student at ECI. Whether you'rean athlete, an scholar or still figuring yourself out, finding aplace to fit in is easy - just listen to the announcements andshow up! If you like winning, then our sports teams are the place tobe!  Our teams have won championships in the followingsports:  Jr. Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, Jr. & Sr. GirlsBasketball, Girls Soccer, Track & Field, Girls' Softball,Swimming, Golf, Girls Hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, and BoysCurling.You can also find something to interest you among our manyclubs which include:  chess, debating, model parliament,environment, multicultural, math, etc.  If you want to start upa club, that is easy.  All you need is a great vision and a staffadvisor to mentor you. 

What Sets Us Apart

It is important to note that our yearbook won the prizes forbest graphics and best overall against 100 other schools inthe Greater Toronto Area.We also enter many math and science competitions everyyear.  You can also run for five executive councils: Charity,Athletics, Music, White Pine and the over arching StudentCouncil.

Parent and Community Engagement

Parents and teachers have positive partnerships at ECI.  Our ParentCouncil is enthusiastic and committed. They have spent the past 2years leading our "Raise-a-Ruckas" fundraising campaign and haveraised almost $200000 to date. These funds are being used toimprove our school in the areas of Arts, Athletics and Leadership!There is a place for parents at ECI!

Imagine a TDSB where all schools share a common core set of characteristics. They arecommunity-driven and focused on teaching and learning.
