EU Culture week Week Speakers: David Paichadze David Paichadze is a Georgian journalist, philologist, head of Journalism at Ilia State University, and anchor of several TV programs at Georgian leading media. Khatuna Tskhadadze Khatuna Tskhadadze is a translator and has been teaching the Italian Language since 1998. She has been cooperating with literary magazines and newspapers for translations, book reviews etc. since 1997. Her most prominent translations from Italian have been: ‘Prague Cemetery’ by Umberto Eco; ‘The Name of the Rose’ by Umberto Eco (Winner of GALA literary award as Best Translation); ‘Pereira Declares’ by Antonio Tabucchi (Finalist of SABA literary award in the Category of Best Translation); and ‘Belief or non-belief?’ by Umberto Eco and Carlo Maria Martini. She has also translated essays and short stories by Luigi Pirandello, Italo Calvino, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Umberto Eco and other important authors. She holds public lectures on different issues of Contemporary Italian Literature. Diana Anthimiadou Diana Anthimiadou is a Georgian poet, essayist, translator and linguist. She is the author of a number of scholarly articles and works. Furthermore, she is one of the editors of the electronic library http://lib.ge/. She is the winner of different literary competitions and has published the novels ‘Chocolate’, and ‘Private Culinary’. Tikkle Me Tikkle Me is an electronic pop-art collective formed by Frida Herchenröther (program- ming/vocals) and Karin Taberman (keyboards) in Eskilstuna, Sweden. After some DIY singles they released their self-titled debut album in 2010 on the label ‘A Westside Fabrication’. Since then the duo has transformed and grown. To- day it's a whole artistic collective with musi- cians, singers, dancers, photographers, and video makers who frequently tour Sweden and have performed live shows in Germany, Russia, Belarus and Georgia. In 2013 Tikkle Me signed with Gaphals recordings and in April 2014 they released the album "What Is Real". Oimactta Oimactta is an electronic experimental band. The first album Bad Trips has been released in March 2014. Currently Oimactta works on another album, that will be released in fall this year. This summer Oimactta participated in the project initiated by the Sun Glitter and recorded the track. EU Culture week Musicians/Bands: Oliver Poole Oliver Poole is a British Pianist and composer. His musical life started at an early age when he became the youngest winner of the EPTA trophy (as the most promising young pianist in Europe) aged seven, reclaiming the title again the following year. He first performed with the National Youth Orchestra at eight-years-old, became the subject of numerous press fea- tures and live broadcasts at age fifteen, toured Siberia and founded the British registered charity Siberian Appeal at seventeen and has since performed at venues and festivals. The BearFox The BearFox is an experimental project of musi- cians Irakli Manchkhashvili and Mebo Nut- subidze. Their main goal is to break frames and restrictions in music. They use all types of sounds of musical instruments they like. They don’t be- long to any one type of music; they are just mak- ing music which expresses their attitude towards the universe.
