Euclid Creek Tunnel: By the Numbers

• Tunnel– 24’ diameter– 7110/17,750’– 60,100,000 gallons

• ~30 near surface structures– 11 complete– 10 under construction

• Shafts: 5 total– 24’ to 60’ diameter– 185-225’ deep

• 2,440 linear feet of open cut pipe placed

• 2,110 linear feet of microtunnel complete– 240 more to go


Construction Updates

• New sewer, Lakeshore BoulevardEast 150th Street to (east of) Collinwood Rec.– Work completed: Sept 2013

• New sewer, St. Clair Ave. and Nottingham Rd.– Work completed: Oct 2013


Shaft #1Construction Staging Site

• “Mackenzie” tunneled and lined 7,125’• Operating 24/7 with regularly-scheduled

maintenance periods• Currently beneath Lake Erie
