DIRECTIONS FOR USESurface Preparation - New concrete must be aminimum of 28 days old and possess an open, porous and textured surface with all curing com-pounds and sealers removed. Old concrete mustbe clean and well textured. All oil, dirt, debris, paint and unsound concrete must be removed. Thesurface should be prepared mechanically using ascabbler, bushhammer, shotblast, scarifier or simi-lar equipment which will give a surface profile com-mensurate with the application. (Coating applica-tions should have a light sandblast appearancewhile topping applications should have the sur-face of the concrete profiled to expose the largeaggregate.) The final step in cleaning should bethe complete removal of all residue with a vacuumcleaner or pressure washer.Acid etching is acceptable only when mechanicalpreparation is impractical. It is recommended thatonly contractors experienced in the acid etchingprocess use this means of surface preparation. The salt of the reaction must be thoroughly washedaway. Allow the concrete to completely dry. Note:Even with proper procedures, an acid etched sur-face may not produce as strong a bond as pro-duced by other preparation methods.Mixing - All materials should be in the proper tem-perature range of 16oC - 32oC. Mix part A and partB (resin & hardener) for 2 minutes using a drill andmixing prop. For ease of mixing, add the part B topart A (not the reverse). The epoxy must be wellmixed to ensure proper chemical reaction. If aggregate is to be added, the aggregate is mixedinto the epoxy after the part A and part B havebeen premixed together. Place immediately.Application - (Priming, Bonding, Sealing or Coat-ing) - Use either low viscosity or medium viscos-ity formulations in these applications. Apply ma-terial by roller, squeegee or airless spray in a uni-form fashion. Do not allow the material to puddle.Extremely porous surfaces may require a secondcoat for proper ultimate performance.

Priming & Bonding - If EUCO #452 is used asa bonding agent for a cementitious topping placethe topping on the EUCO #452 while the epoxyis still wet. If the epoxy has become “tacky” tothe point where it is no longer a sticky liquid, afresh coat of EUCO #452 must be applied be-fore the topping is placed.Sealing & Coating - If a second coat of EUCO#452 is to be placed on the concrete, the first coatshould be slightly tacky (4-10 hours old) when thesecond coat is applied. A slip resistant surfacecan be created by broadcasting silica sand (20-50mesh) into the coating and then backrolling toembed the sand.Repair Mortars- The surface should be primedwith EUCO#452 LV prior to application of the re-pair mortar. Mix the epoxy unit (Part A with PartB) prior to adding the aggregate. Trowel the mor-tar into place. If the surface is too rough, a top-coat of either EUCO #452 LV or MV can be ap-plied.

CLEAN-UPClean tools and equipment with solvent such asEUCO SOLVENT, xylene, xylol, toluene or MEK.Do not allow the epoxy to harden on equipment.

PRECAUTIONS / LIMITATIONl This product may vary in colour and may

yellow and chalk after prolonged exposureto sunlight

l Bring material as close to 21oC as possible.Store in room temperature environment 24hours prior to use. Do not heat with openflame.

l Store indoor at 7- 43oCl Epoxy components may cause irritation.

Avoid contact with eyes and skin.l Do not apply over free standing water.l Do not applyover hardened primer or old

epoxy without proper surface preparation.l Not recommended to use a surface sealer

over new concrete less than 30 days old,l Not recommended to use when base con-

crete is at a temperature under 4oC.
