MACHINES OF THE ANCIENT WORLD Visitors can use the ancient legendary machines associ-ated with Archimedes’ life such as the iron-hands and burning mirrors used for sinking ships.

ENERGY MACHINESLearn about ancient holograms, huge dishes for sound propagation and the secret behind Archimedes’ me-chanical paradox in which objects roll up hill.

THE POWER OF SHAPESVisitors can have fun with geometry, solve puzzles and use the building blocks of the 3rd Century B.C.E.

Encounter inventions and scientific discoveries of Archimedes, the “Father of Modern Science,” and journey through history and science with a look at the machines of the ancient world. While the concepts are centuries old, many of these ancient technologies have been adapted for use today. Learn about machines, shapes and mathematics and solve puzzles while you investigate the stunning achievements of Archimedes, a man ahead of his time who inspired the greatest scientists in history.
