The LK M176 hermaphrodite connectors are used from the market to have only two connectors’ version. The range consistsof inline and chassis version fully compatible with all the hermaphrodite connectors already in use from the industry.

LKH range is the head-to-ballast interconnection solution. Covering the range from 575W to 18 kW used by the Lightingindustry, LKH connectors feature standard quality of all the LK connectors’ range, such as reliability and easy error-freemating/unmating operations.

The comprehensive range of availableversions and accessories make LKH suitablein different applications, such as rear-panelassembly or identification by colour code.

The Power Link connector series has permanent integral keys which prevent the accidental connection of dissimilar types (e.g. Earthand Line 1). Each connector type has a unique keyed position. Visual identification is made easily by means of the coloured insulators.

In addition to integral keying and colour coding, all connectors are “branded”with the international mark to identify: earth, neutral, line 1, line 2 or line 3.

The Power Link single pole connector series is designed for power distribution systems, offering the ultimate features insafety and reliability under the most severe operating conditions. Typical applications for Power Link include three-phasemotors, generators, load banks and lighting distribution panels. Power Link connectors are also suitable for many othersupply companies and heavy industry environments. Power Link connectors are designed and tested to comply withEuropean and US electrical safety standards and specifications. Other versions will be soon available, to satisfy all theindustry needs.

Dead front contacts: insulated nylon tip on the live contact prevents accidental touching.

High impact insulators: glass filled thermoplastic insulators prevent damage due to mis handling and guarantee a high degree of insulation, with maximum resistance to oil, acids and water.

Multipoint contact: twentythree spring loaded active elements (louvers) allow low insertion force and guarantee multiple points of contact, ensuring minimal power loss.

Integral Location Keys: each connector type is individually keyed to eliminate the possibility of accidental cross mating.

Waterproof when mated: sealing is guaranteed through IP 67 rated interfacial and cable gland compression seals.

Colour coded: insulators are supplied as standard colour identification codes.

Link new male protected connector series foresee a patented double protection to prevent accidental touch of the malecontact under load. The male contact must be unlocked trough an uniform pressure in the whole teflon part (by thefemale connector). This will make the contact free to bend down, allowing the connection.

The LKS connectors’ range has been specifically designed for professional lighting applications. Even maintaining fullcompatibility with Socapex SL 419 series, LKS connectors represent a real breakthrough in terms of reliability andsafety. Featuring machined contacts, they accept from 1.5 to 4 sqmm wires. The neoprene insert guarantees greaterreliability as well as the possibility to insert and eject contacts for crimping and maintenance. Also available with rubberlocking ring and in hardened anodised finish that guarantee high scratch resistance. The backshell design allow adequateworking room for crimping operations. LKS is provided with IP 67 watertight cable clamp.

Turret

The turret, fitted on theLK CRIMP, allows thepositioners assembly.

The crimp contact option for the LKA, LKS and LKH range of connectors, allows large assembly time savings, and givesa perfect, reliable and durable connection by the use of LK CRIMP or LK CRIMP PN with Turret tools (LK TR).The positioners (LK PS ..) must be select depending on the different pins size: LK PS 12 (pin size 12 - some LKHconnectors), LK PS LKS (pin size 12 for LKS), LK PS 16 (pin size 16 - all the LK range from 13 to 85 pins), LK PS 18 (LK150 pins) and LK PS 20 (LK 200 pins). To crimp the contacts, crimping tool, turret and pins positioner are needed.Contacts may be easily extracted from the insert for maintenance or substitution. The insertion of contacts is made bythe inserter LK INS (12, 16, 18 or 20 following the contact size); female contacts may be inserted by the aid of the plugLK SP (12, 12LKS, 16, 18 or 20) as shown in the drawing. To extract the contacts the use of LK EX MN UNIV ejector isrequired; it contains the metal points suitable for the different size (LK EX ..), both for female and male contacts.

It is possible to adjust thecrimping according to thewire size.

Positioner

Every contact has its own positioner, to be mounted on auniversal turret LK TR. The mounting position is selectedfollowing the female or male contact type.

For easier contact insertionuse an alcohol lubricant.

Dummy range is available for the assembly of the LK connector back shells. Dummy tools can be fixed to a panel or bygripping in a vice. Then, lock the backshell in place means of the LK K BK key.

Dummy

Once the LK K has been fixed to the panel orto the vice, put the connector for assembly in the mating position. Next, screw the backshell firmly into place withthe LK K BK key. This allows to screw thebackshell at best, avoiding unscrewing duringoperations.

Ejector

The main contacts used inthe LK range can becontained inside the LK EX MN UNIV andmust be screwed into thefront part of the Handle.

The use of SKIN TOP cable clamps, which are important accessories in the industrial field, allows perfect connection of anycable to all types of equipment, ensuring perfect functioning. They are mostly used in the audio-lighting environment, as cableclamps for multipin connectors and cable entries in various types of boxes, e.g. stage-boxes. SKIN TOP cable clamps alloweasy and quick installation. Thenew trapeze-shaped multiplethread allows fastest tightening.Just acting on the tightening nut, itis possible to mount the water-tight cable clamp IP68, andtighten it on the cable, thusensuring firm grip without tractionand with no risk of loosening.

Skin Top with spring

Cable clamp with anti-bend spiral, range from Pg 11 to Pg21. Mostly used with equipment where very flexible cablesare used, for additional safety against cable damage dueto bending radius, sometimes too small. Black (RAL9005). Water-tightness degree IP 68.

Metal Skin Top

Available on request, nickel-plated brass cable clamp for heavy-duty applications. With all the advantages of the Skin Top range.Water-tightness degree IP 68. Range from PG 11 to PG 36.
