Being Safe On A Vacation Cruise - Travel advice

What are your personal thoughts on traveling? Do you view everything youcan on the subject and try to create your own travel plan? There are numerousresources available such as magazines, videos, books, and shows. So wheredo you begin with your own plan? Try going through these tips to find your

starting point.

If you're going to be travelling by air, make sure you don't put any valuablesor electronics in your checked luggage. Luggage handlers aren't known to begentle and any electronics may end up damaged during transport. Airlines are

also known to lose luggage and you don't want to take a chance of losing

something valuable.

You have several insurance options when traveling. When you book a trip, youshould decide, first of all, what kind of traveler you are and your appetite for

risk, and then determine which policy or policies you should purchase tocover contingencies on your trip. The sooner you make these insurance

decisions after booking, the less money you will pay and the more optionsyou will have. You may buy trip cancellation insurance, a popular option;

insurance against loss of your luggage; insurance against medicalemergencies; or even weather contingency insurance.

Remember, when traveling abroad it is better to avoid drinking the local tapwater. Most visitors will be unaccustomed to the local water, and can get quiteill. It's much easier to go to the local supermarket or grocery store, and buy

bottled water instead. It cuts down your chance of sickness, as bottled wateris usually produced to the highest of standards.

No matter where you're traveling, make sure to wear sunscreen. Even if thesun isn't shining, your exposed skin is still subject to the sun's harmful rays.Wearing 15+ SPF sunscreen will ensure that you don't get a painful sunburn

and that your trip can be fun without the pain.

When deciding what to wear on your feet when you go on a plane ride, keepin mind that you will be most comfortable in shoes that slip off easily. Crocsor flip flops are best because they can be taken off or put on in an instant.

Put your personal ID info inside your bags. It's easy for a luggage tag to fallof if it's hanging off your luggage. Be certain that you have good identificationboth inside and outside of your bags. In this way, if the tags are accidentally

removed, your bag can still be returned to you.

Use noise-cancelling headphones. Because of all the engine and backgroundnoise on an airplane, you have to crank the volume on your headphones updangerously high just to hear the music. Invest in a pair of noise-cancellingheadphones, which cancel out the background noise and let you clearly hear

your music at a reasonable volume. Even if you don't listen to music, they aregreat for just reducing the noise.

When you plan to take an extensive travel time and own a home, it may be inyour best interest to rent out your home to make sure it is well kept while you

are gone. This will ensure that bills are paid, utilities still on, and not makeyou lose money while you travel.

If you want to be able to barter overseas, bring something that is difficult toget outside of your own country. Bourbon is a great example for Americans.

American Bourbon is nearly impossible to find outside of the United States, somuch so that other countries will pay you double the original cost.
