3. a way to serve it (i.e. cups, napkin, forks, etc.)

Name: Sauerkraut

Country of Origin: Germany

Ingredients: cabbage, salt, vinegar

What this tells us about culture: cabbage is inexpensive and easy to grow in the Northern Plains region of Germany. Probably introduced by Germanic tribes/travelers from Asia.
