With 368 square kilometres Lake Garda is the biggest lake in Italy.

Thanks to its mild climate, enchanting Mediterranean landscape, and

hospitality of its inhabitants, it is the perfect setting, no matter what the

season, for an ideal holiday.

The lake is studded with beautiful towns, rich in history and culture; it

includes ancient Roman settlements, medieval fortresses, imposing

buildings and rich historical villas.

On the shores of the lake there are many picturesque villages which even

today preserve ancient cultures from their impressive history.

Bardolino is certainly among the most picturesque tourist villages on

the lake in this part of the province of Verona.

Garda is situated in a bright inlet surrounded by hills and still mirrors its

ancient origins.

Lazise is a wonderful town, rich in history, monuments, and culture.

During the summer season inside the castle it is possible to attend open

air classical music concerts, light music and cabaret shows.

Malcesine’s history surrounds its castle, which together with the Palazzo

dei Capitani, has become the symbol of the town. The stunning backdrop

to this resort – Monte Baldo, is a host to Hang gliders and Paragliding

which fill the blue skies between the lake and the mountain.

Sirmione, thanks to its unique natural position on the lake, Sirmione’s

peninsula has been place of many ancient settlements, which are still to

be seen even today.

GRAPE ROUTE BY BIKE

The route departs from the historical centre of Bardolino and rises up onto the panoramic road behind the

town from where there are splendid views of the lake and surrounding countryside. The path continues

on through the rolling hills of the morenic terrain that encircle the aforementioned countryside and where

the slopes of Monte Baldo give way to a more gentle landscape characterized by the ancient cultivation of

grapes and thus this route takes you through beautiful vineyards.

“LA ROCCA” WALKING TRACK

From the Lake one goes up to 291 meters above sea level and from the Rocca Vecchia (Old Rock) immediately

deep into the typical Gardesana landscape, where the presence of mankind already thousands of years in a

balanced way fits in an environment, shaped by glaciers and mellowed by a rich Mediterranean vegetation.

The trail curls between the hills of the inland, altering its height between vineyards and country houses,

from where it runs down towards Bardolino’s centre, affording a pleasing view over the Lake.

For the discerning cyclist the satellite navigator is now an indispensable accessory and exclusively for Europlan all the cycle-paths in the area have been “mapped”. These cycle-paths connect the most beautiful

villages of the Eastern side of Lake Garda, stretching as far as Mantova and include the city of Verona and the

Garda hinterland.

Everyone who has booked a holiday with Europlan could reserve directly at the reception of the hotels/

residences a complete Cycle-Kit which contains: 1 trekking bike (body height and sex to be specyfied),

bags (in the front and in the back), helmet, GPS with the appointed routes, repair-kit, road book and road

maps.

Going along the various routes is also a good excuse to savour the history and the culture of the areas:

The Wine Tour takes you deep into the Bardolino wine-making area and at the same time leads you to

where Napoleon fought his famous battle of Rivoli in 1799.

The Verona Tour leaves from Bardolino’s bus-station and takes you to the heart of the city of Verona via

Bussolengo. You can come back the same way or you can take the bus.

For nature-lovers there is the Monte-Baldo tour, after a transfer that leaves you at a height of 1,342 metres

in the village of Novezza the itinerary takes you slowly back down to the lake along pathways completely

immersed in woods and beautiful country-side.

A completely different route is offered with the Boat Tour with a boat transfer from Bardolino to Sirmione

and then back again by bike alongside the lake.

For the more experienced cyclist there is the Mincio Tour following cycle-paths from Bardolino all the

way to Valeggio sul Mincio where a compulsory visit must be made to the stunning medieval village of

Borghetto, the homeward part of the route takes you along 64km of wonderful flat paths in the Mincio

Natural Park back to Peschiera del Garda.

So, itineraries to suit all levels and tastes and the opportunity to rent bikes too!

This is the longest cycle-tour: a total of 64 k departing from Bardolino and cycling over the gentle hills that surround San Giorgio in Salici and arriving in Valeggio Sul Mincio, a famous historical renaissance town.Leaving Valeggio the cycle-path leads down to the River Mincio where you find Borghetto, another “pearl” of this area ( a medieval village) and following the river we return to Peschiera del Garda. The last part of the cycle-ride takes you along gravel paths next to the lake and some internal minor roads.

This is the shortest cycle route.This tour leads from the bus-station and takes you to Tre Contrè from where you head in a southerly direction to the gentle hills of Pastrengo, a village made famous during the First War of Independence for its mounted police force .From Pastrengo we go towards Sandrà, Salionze and Cavalcaselle and then make our way back to Bardolino using minor roads and cycle-paths.

A transfer takes you up to a height of 1,342 metres to the village of Novezza from where we cycle down the main road until we reach the road that takes us up to the Malga Ime, from here we follow cycle-paths through woods and beautiful country-side until we reach Braga, Vilmezzano, Pazzon and Porcino. We return to Bardolino along the hills that divide the Adige Valley and the Albarè Plain.This tour is especially suited for nature lovers

Leaving from the bus-station we travel along country roads taking us over the hills of Bardolino and Calmasino to reach Piovezzano. A gravel cycle-path then takes us all the way to Bussolengo alongside the Biffis Canal, from Bussolengo we follow a minor road to the centre of Verona.There are two alternative means for the journey home: for the more experienced cyclist the same route can be taken or the journey back to Bardolino can be made by the local bus.

This quite tricky route winds its way south-east along the plain that links Affi, Cavaion and Colà. For the whole way this route takes you through vineyards that produce the grape that makes the Bardolino wine.The tour leaves from the bus-station and winds its way up through the back streets to Vallesana, following on we travel along gravel paths to reach the gentle hills of Colà, a small village which is famous for its Thermal Baths. From Colà the route turns towards Calmasino and then Cavaion and finally Affi. At Affi we join the new cycle path that takes us to the surrounding hills and after a brief downhill run we come to Rivoli, a village made famous by Napoleon and the Battle of Rivoli in 1799 which was followed by a period of Austrian domination.From Rivoli a gravel path takes us again through vineyards but this time the wine produced here is a high-quality sparkling Spumante wine and this path takes us back to Affi to an area locally known as Moscal where Nato had a radar positioned for many years. After passing the church of San Fermo we go back to Bardolino along the “la Rocca” path.Ruins of the Austrian Customs-House

This tour is characterised by a trip on the steamer boat from Bardolino to Sirmione. The tour then starts from outside the castle walls and the cycle-path follows the lake for the most part and then the A road (Strada Statale 11) to the Hotel Dogana, from there we follow country roads until we reach the cycle path of the Mincio park passing through the villages of Camalavicina, Lazise and finally, Bardolino.

BARDOLINO

At the center of the “Riviera degli olivi” (Olive Riviera), in a lovely gulf,

Bardolino is one of the most enchanting places on the lake. It is famous

world wide for the production of the “Bardolino” wine, a young, fresh

and inviting wine, ruby red or claret in colour, excellent as a table wine.

The “Bardolino” Wine Association has prepared a suggested route,

properly marked out, through the villages and localities of production.

It is a journey not only admist luxuriant vineyards and old farms in

which winemaking is carried out using traditional methods, but also

through the history and art, villas of the past centuries, romanesque

churches and castles.

LAZISE

Between Bardolino and Peschiera lies the town of Lazise, whose name

comes from “lacenses” that means “lacustrine place”.

The ancient nucleus of the town has medieval origin; it is surrounded

by the walls erected by the Scaliger Family in the 14th century and its

charming setting is dominated by the castle.

With its picturesque nooks Lazise is an enchanting place especially the

square (piazza) and the small port, still animated by fishermen’s boats.

The characteristic narrow alleys are full of shops and arcades with bars

and restaurants face the small port of Lazise.

GARDA

Garda (from Warda = guard, lookout, place of observation post,

survillance etc.) is positioned at the centre of an large gulf, between

“La Rocca” and “Punta S. Vigilio”. Garda has a characteristic town centre,

with old rustic houses, winding lanes and small squares.

Fishing is still quite important and kept alive by spectacular festivals

one of which is the “Sardellata al Pal del Vò” (a sardine feast), that is held

in July, during the evening of the full moon, on the lake.

The vast hinterland offers a great number of interesting walks/hikes

and a wide range of sports.

PESCHIERA

Peschiera del Garda is a fluvial and lacustrine town which lies on the

extreme south-east point of the lake, where the Mincio river begins

its course.

The Mincio river is the only effluent of Lake Garda.

The huge bastions, the city walls and barracks enclose the historic

centre in a “belt” made of stones and bricks. Peschiera del Garda is an

extremely important commercial and touristic centre; the shore to

S. Benedetto di Lugana, and the hinterland as well, offer picturesque

nooks, typical restaurants and nice excursions among the olive trees

and the vineyards.

BRENZONE

The country of Brenzone covers an area of 50 square meters. The area

includes the towns of Castello, Castelletto, Marniga, Magugnago, Porto and

Assenza plus other smaller villages that are closer to the mountainside.

The town has not grown much in size and has preserved many

characteristics of the past...many quaint fishermen’s villages clustered

around a port and many rustic rural hamlets in the hills.

The small island of Trimelone, which up until a few years ago was used

as a military depot, sits near the shore in front of Assenza. As tourism is

its main industry, the lakeside is lined by many hotels, residences and

The peninsula of Sirmione, approx. km 4 long, is much frequented

ancient importance of Sirmione. The prosperity of Sirmione, besides the

Roman period, was particularly demonstrated under the domination

of the Scaliger and of the Venetian Republic. In the 13th century, the

Scaligers built the Castle or Rocca Scaligera, erected as a fortress inside

the ancient walls surrounding the Medieval Village. Presently the

Tourist taxThe tourist tax is not included in the prices and must be paid by directly at the hotel.

Special offer “Earlybird”In certain residences and hotels clients who will make their reservation by 31.03 will be granted particular discounts.

Children FreeFrom 04.05 to 25.05 children go on holiday free. In our hotels children up to 11 years old staying in the same room with the parents are free of charge, having the same board as the parents. For children in a separate room there is a 50% discount. The booking must be made before the 30.04 (this offer is not valid for Hotel Eden, Sole, Aqualux, Du Parc).

Single room with no supplementIn the Hotels Du Lac et Bellevue, Caesius, Sportsman, Nettuno and La Perla, there is no supplement for the single room or the double room used by one person during seasons A and B.

FairsDuring fairs prices from the following seasons will be applied to our hotels:D) for Caesius Thermae, Sole, Eden, Du Lac et Bellevue, Sportsman, Nettuno and La PerlaC) for Du Parc

Payment by credit card proposes a new system of payment, for deposits and final settlements, which will save

time and effort as well as bank and postal charges. At the moment of booking you can use your credit card to confirm. When the payments are due, we shall debit you with the outstanding amount, without any further charges.

HotelsPrices/Rates: the rates shown in the price lists are in Euro per person, per day, in double rooms, based on services indicated and are valid for a minimum stay of three days. Beverages, tips and extras in general are not included in these prices. Prices are subject to change without notice.Board: in the price list the board is indicated as follows: BB= bed and breakfast, HB = half board.Children: we make special conditions for children sleeping in the parents bedroom:- up to the age of 5 years free.- from the age of 6 to 13 60% discount (except for Hotel Cæsius 50%). For the hotels Sole and La Perla allowed 1 child max age 11 years.Cots and high chairs are available free of charge.In certain periods the 50% discount is applicable for children 6-13 years even sleeping in a separate room.3rd and 4th person: 3rd and 4th person sleeping in a double room, from the age of 14 onwards, are entitled to a discount of 30% (40% in Family Suite at the Hotel Caesius). Discount not applicable at the Hotel La Perla and Hotel Sole.Garage: garages cannot be booked and will be given on a first come first served basis. The price is € 7,00 per day per car, except for the hotels Caesius, Aqualux and La Perla, where the garage is included in the room rate.

Domestic pets: Domestic pets are not allowed.Beginning and end of the stay: rooms on the day of the arrival can be occupied after 3 pm and on the day of the departure must be vacated by 11 am. Arrivals and departures are daily.Special offers: Special offers are marked on the price list with the symbol .Payments: all reservations are definitively confirmed upon receipt of an account of 20% of the full amount, which must be received 3 weeks before the date of arrival, otherwise the reservation will be cancelled without further notice.Cancellation conditions: those who have to cancel their stay will have the right to a reimbursement of the deposit with the following deductions:- no cancellation fees until 7 days before beginning of the stay-100% of the deposit for cancellations from 6 to 0 days before beginning of the stayGuarantee reimbursement: The insurance guarantees reimbursement (- € 30,00 for booking expenses) in case of illness, injury or death to the insured or to a family member upon certification by a doctor registered in the Medical Association. The insurance is valid up to 24 hours before arrival.

ResidencePrices: rates are published in Euros per apartment and include accomodation in the apartments with their relative services, furniture and essential accessories for a brief holiday stay. Prices do not include utilities, cot hire, high-chairs, linens (bed and bath), cleaning services, linen change not mentioned, final cleaning and everything that is not expressly indicated as included and free in the price lists of the catalog.Extra costs: weekly rates for the consumption of gas, electricity and water. In some residences these rates are included in the price, in others they are paid directly on the spot, a forfeit, fixed rates indicated on the price list or per consumption with a final reading of the relative meters.Refundable security deposit: a security deposit is required upon arrival, which will be refunded upon departure if there have been no damages. Amount of the deposit is indicated in the price lists of the catalog.Apartments: apartments are divided in various types: ST = one-room apartment, A = 2-room apartment, B = 3-room apartment, C = 4-room apartment, MH = mobile home.The number written after this codes indicates the maximum number of person, (eg.: A4 2-room apartment for maximum 4 people). The initials after the number mean: SB = without balcony, M = mansard, FL = lake front, Sup. = superior.Parking: if indicated in the descriptive text, parking is upon a first come first serve basis and spaces cannot be reserved. Garage: should there be a cost, this will be specified and is to be paid directly.Domestic pets: small pets allowed only if specified in the price lists of the catalog with their respective costs. In all other cases they are not allowed. In any case pets will not be allowed in common areas.

Arrival and departure: arrival time between 4 and 7 pm, the departure takes place before 10 am. Arrivals outside the stated hours are requested to contact the residence directly.Visits: visits of relatives or acquaintances has to be authorized by the Direction.Special offers: some residences make special offers (7=5 stay of 7 days, paying only for 5), the type and date of these offers can be found in the price lists. All extra costs must be paid in full. Special offers are marked on the price list with the symbol .Payments: all reservations are definitively confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the full amount, within 3 weeks. If we do not receive the deposit within the requested period we will cancel the booking without any notice. The balance has to be paid at arrival in the residence.
