As the adoption of electric vehicles gains tractionin the US, EVSE software management platformshave emerged as a critical tool, both for grid anduser management. Power utilities are deployingthese platforms for better data management atbackend as well as customer interfaces. Along withutilities, charging network operators and technolo-gy providers have been working towards improvingthese platforms to make them more efficient andaffordable. As the industry works towards address-ing the challenges pertaining to interoperabilityand non-uniform charging standards, new solu-tions such as V2G are also in the offing.

REGlobal, with the support from Global TTransmission,is organizing a one-day virtual conference on EV CCharging SSoftware aand PPlatforms on July 222,2021. The mission of the conference is to understandthe needs and requirements of utilities and charg-ingnetwork operatorsfor EVSE software. The eventwill also focus onkey considerations in selecting EV management software platform; challenges pertaining to procurement, integration and operationof these platforms including interoperability androaming; economic model including unit price, sub-scription model, usage dynamics, revenue share, etc.; and future of new solutions like vehicle to grid(V2G) integration.
