Q2 RGBW LED Underwater Lights

The Advantages of Q2 RGBW LED Underwater Lights• Highly efficient - IPC ensures use of full LED capacity• RGB (multicolour) and white light integrated in 1 luminaire• Both for flush or surface mounting• Universal thread ¾" BSP for surface mounting• Electronics separated from luminaire (technical area)• TCS for protection against overheating of LED’s• Installation depth up to 25 m below the water level• Very high effective light output

The Q2 is a very powerful, small LED underwater lamp which is widely used in leisure pools, private pools, spas, whirlpools, pool steps, rapids and paddling pools. Installation is easy; the lamp can be installed flush with the wall as well as surface mounted by means of the ¾" BSP thread.

SafetyUnderwater lighting provides better view of swimmers and is therefore an important tool for regulators. A lamp with a wide beam ensures an evenly lit pool without dark corners. Although narrower beams reach further, with such lamps dark corners may occur which is not always beneficial for pool safety.

The wide-angle beam in our Q2 RGBW underwater lamp provides a completely evenly lit pool without dark corners.

Technical AdvantagesEVA Optic underwater lights are equipped with unique techniques that ensure sustainable quality and functionality. All electronics are located outside the luminaire. No electronics underwater, but in a central technical area. The lamp is completely sealed with specially developed resin.

The unique airtight design makes installation possible at depths up to 25 m below the water level, for example in diving tanks.

Multicoloured RGBW LightThe Q2 RGBW is a 4 x 15 W multicoloured (RGBW - Red Green Blue White) underwater light. With this light you can mix any colour.

The luminaire contains 4 LED’s of 15 W each, consumption is a constant 15 W regardless of the colour selected due to Intelligent Power Control (IPC).

EVA Optic developed Intelligent Power Control (IPC) specifically for RGBW lighting. Because of this control technique, our RGBW lights always use full LED capacity.

EVA Optic’s IPC ensures that the light’s total power is distributed only over the LED’s that are turned on. If only 25% of the LED’s are on (as is the case when the light is set to the colour blue), the light still has 100% light output, whereas with any RGBW light without IPC the light output will have reduced by 75%.

Q2 LED Underwater Lights

The Advantages of Q2 LED Underwater Lights• Underwater lamp is equipped with multicoloured LED’s (5-wire)• Lamp with fixed light colour. However, the light colour need be selected

only at installation• Easy to upgrade to multicolour RGBW lighting using RGBW upgrade set• Both for flush or surface mounting• Universal thread ¾" BSP for surface mounting• Electronics separated from luminaire (technical area)• Installation depth up to 25 m below the water level• Very high effective light output• Payback when replacing halogen average 1 - 2 years

The wide-angle beam in our Q2 underwater lamp provides a completely evenly lit pool without dark corners.

Choice of Light Colour on InstallationUnique to the Q2 LED underwater light is that the light colour does not need to be chosen at the moment of purchase, but when the light is installed.

The Q2 has multicoloured LED’s, the light colour of the lamp is determined by connecting the respective wires. This means that you can decide on site which colour suits the atmosphere of the pool. If opting for only one fixed colour proves difficult, you can easily upgrade to the Q2 DMX controlled multicolour RGBW lamp through an electronics upgrade kit. You can then change the light colour, light intensity and colour scene at any time via a DMX controller or for example a tablet PC.

Energy Savings and PaybackThe flux in lumens of Q2, when set to Daylight White (6500 K), is equivalent to that of a 150 W halogen underwater lamp. When a 150 W halogen underwater lamp is replaced by the EVA Optic Q2, the investment is generally earned back within 1 - 2 years (depending on the wattage of the original lamp and operating hours per year).

Although narrower beams reach further, with such lamps dark corners may occur which is not always beneficial for pool safety. The wide-angle beam in our A-series underwater lamps provides a completely evenly lit pool without dark corners.

Inspection IEC NEN NormEVA Optic has voluntarily tested its LED underwater lighting (including the A2) to safety standard IEC NEN EN 60598-2-18 by renowned IEC accredited test institute Dekra. The underwater lighting was tested for watertightness (IPX8), safety class (3), electrical safety (SELV), impact resistance, resistance to high pressure, thermal protection and fire safety. This has resulted in an official declaration of conformity.

Technical AdvantagesEVA Optic A-series underwater lights are equipped with unique techniques that ensure sustainable quality and functionality. All electronics are located outside the luminaire. No electronics underwater, but in a central technical area. The lamp is completely sealed with specially developed resin. The unique airtight design makes installation possible at depths up to 25 m below the water level, for example in diving tanks.

Multicoloured RGBW LightThe A4 RGBW is a 4 x 50 W multicoloured (RGBW - Red Green Blue White) underwater light. With this light you can mix any colour. The luminaire contains 4 LED’s of 50 W each, consumption is a constant 50 W regardless of the colour selected due to Intelligent Power Control (IPC).
