In what way does your media product use, develop, or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Using Forms and Conventions.

My media product has forms and conventions of a performance music video, this is where the artist is

performing in front of the camera, I didn’t want it to be a narration music video as this wouldn't’t have work due to

the lyrics of the song, personally I prefer performance videos as it emphasizes the talent of the artist.

A music video can be filmed in a few ways, they could be filmed so they are narrative, however, with the artist alone, they could be performance based with the artist alone, or they could be narrative without the artist and with an actor. My media product is performance with the artist within the video, I personally thought this would fit the song I am using, better than the other filming ways. In my music video you can that it is purely performance based with the artist rapping into the camera, whilst there are a different series of shots throughout the video.

Here you can see in this music video, that it is performance based with the artist in the shot throughout. This is similar to my music video, However the differences are, my video has different editing cuts so that it is more engaging. Also you can see that throughout his song he has the same backdrop which means he stays in the same location. In my music video I changed location so its not the same the whole way through
