What have I learnt about technologies from the process of

constructing this product?

During Production

I learnt how to shoot my footage

with a Nikon D5100.

During Editing

I improved my knowledge about

Adobe Premier Pro CS5.5. I did this by

testing the program by myself and watching and reading tutorials

on the internet.

During Sound Editing

I learnt how to remove background noises by using Adobe Audition CS5.5. I gained this

knowledge by watching a tutorial on

the internet.

Exporting Importing

After I completed the editing I export the movie from Adobe

Premiere Pro CS5.5.

Then I import the film into Adobe Audition CS5.5. Now

only the audio track is shown.

The little amplitudes, where there should be no sound,

show where the background noises are.

Now I mark the part with the background noises.

After I marked the entire audio track I go on

As you can see are the amplitudes now much smaller. That means that the volume of the background noises is now so low that humans cannot hear it anymore. Now I

export the new audio track of the film.

In the end I delete all my audio tracks in Adobe Premier Pro and replace them with the new one. Sections of the movie and the volume

can still be changed by editing of the audio track.

Benefits of this method

With this method the audio track can easily be changed and disturbing background noises can be removed. It is

not time intensive (approximately 10 minutes including loading the data). The audio footage can be

individually changed, too.

Looking back at my preliminary task, what do I feel I have learnt in the

progression from it to the full product?

Area First Project Coursework

Camera Work • Sometimes very shaky and insecure

• Lower quality of camera used

• More secure and not very shaky• High quality camera used (Nikon

Footage • Large amount of footage• Some of the footage got lost

but could be replaced by other sequences
