What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and

why?

I would get Bauer Media to distribute my magazine because IMM is an Indie/Rock magazine which will be going against mainly NME as they are off the same genre and NME are with IPC publishes so choosing a different media institution would mean that they are against each other allowing a fan base to hopefully join IMM. Alsoat the moment Bauer distributes magazines such as Q and Kerrang which although

they are music magazines they do not fit the genre of Indie/Rock like NME does so they are not in running competition to the extent of having a magazine of the same genre. Another reason I have chosen Bauer is because IMM is cheaper than NME so it will not be competing and worrying about the sales as they are in different media institutions. With it being cheaper this will hopefully boost the sales.

They will be in sold in places such as:•Supermarkets because there is a variety of people that go their and it is always full so more people will notice the magazine.•At the venues because people who love music will go to there and more likely buy magazine if they see someone they like on it.•Newsagents because lots of people go their and people I am aiming my magazine at will more than likely go their so there is a bigger chance they will see and buy it.
