6.What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the

product?

I used both cameras to take pictures for my school magazine and music magazine, I learnt how to function them properly and use them to get good quality shots, I didn’t know how to use an slr

camera before but after watching my class mates use it I learnt how to use it. I learnt how to defocus the background and focus on the

main image and other functions to take good quality pictures.

For constructing my music magazine I used adobe Photoshop cs5.1, I was a beginner at using Photoshop but I

learnt how to use it by watching YouTube tutorials and by attending Photoshop workshop, I learnt many

different things on Photoshop such as altering layers and using adjustment

layers, merging images together, editing images and making them look

professional, adding drop shadows etc. I now know how to use

Photoshop and feel comfortable using it.

I used Microsoft publisher to make my school magazine and some of my drafts for my music magazine, I have

learnt all the basics and feel very comfortable using it, I used Microsoft PowerPoint to do the rest of my work

such as analysing my pictures, annotating existing magazine

products etc., I learn how to make the background disappear and have

better knowledge of it now.

Here are all the online websites I used and learned to use during the process of my coursework, I used Google to fine out information about existing magazine conventions and to get images for my mood board etc. I used slide share to make various presentations and used PowToon, Voicethread, Prezi, YouTube to do my evaluation, I never

knew how to use these online websites before but I now know hoe to use them and am comfortable on using them, I learnt that they are good for presentations and look very professional. I used dafont to download fonts for my music magazine as they look very unique, I

didn’t know you can this before but now I have learnt about it during my process of making my magazine.
