C. THE CONTENT OF EVANGELIZATION

1. Salvation The primary message of evangelization is that in Jesus Christ, the Son of God made man, who died and rose from the dead, salvation is offered to all people, as a gift of Gods grace and mercy.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

2. Hope Evangelization includes the proclamation of a hereafter, in the life after death. It also includes the preaching of hope in the promises made by God in the new Covenant in Jesus Christ, Gods love for us and of our love for God and all men and women, of the mystery of evil and the active search for good. The preaching of the active search for God is through prayer and reading the word of God which is the Bible.

3. Total Life Evangelization consists of the personal, family and social dimension involving human rights and duties, family life, societal and international life, peace, justice, development and liberation.

4. Liberation The Church has the duty to proclaim the liberation of people, of helping in this liberation, of witnessing to it, and making sure that it is complete. The Church has the duty of assisting the birth of this liberation, of giving witness to it, of ensuring that it is complete. This is not foreign but integral to evangelization.

5. Human Advancement The pain of redemption includes working against injustices. Evangelization cannot ignore injustices.

6. Integral and Total Salvation and liberation must not be reduced to just material well-being. The spiritual and religious dimension cannot be ignored.

7. Evangelical Liberation Liberation cannot be limited to economics, politics, social or cultural life. It must include the whole person.8. Centered on the Kingdom of God The proclamation of the Kingdom cannot be replaced by the proclamation of forms of human liberation. The churchs contribution to liberation is incomplete if she neglects to proclaim salvation in Jesus Christ.

9. Evangelization and Liberation Human liberation and salvation are linked in Jesus Christ. True liberation must be motivated by justice and charity, and its final goal must be salvation and happiness in God.

10. Conversion Personal conversion is needed to build structures which are more human, justice, respectful of human rights, less oppressive and less enslaving. 11. Non-violent Violence is not in harmony with true liberation. Violence leads to more violence and brings new and worse forms of oppression and enslavement.

12. Religious Liberty. An important human right.
