Welcome Welcome to school for 2020! It’s been a good start in the time we’ve had
together already. The staff met as a whole team on Tuesday, with students
Y1-12 returning over Wednesday and Thursday. Kinder will start as a group
on Wednesday next week, in the meantime completing their Best Start
Assessments. There are many smiling faces and it’s been great to see
everyone re-connecting as well as meeting the many new people to our
school. Amongst the staff we welcome Ms Maddy Simpson who has been
appointed as a permanent Visual Arts teacher, Mrs Sherie Burrows, K-6
teacher, has entered on duty after having been appointed from the
commencement of 2019 but taking some maternity leave until now. Mr Shaun
Butler, K-6 teacher, Mr James Smith, Mathematics teacher, join us and Mrs
Tanya Entwistle, Mrs Cheryl Patch and Mrs Alison McGeary have returned
after having been on leave during 2019. Mr Glen Cook has been appointed to
a role coordinating Aboriginal language programs across NSW and his
Assistant Principal role at our school will be filled through a merit selection
process during Term 1. Ms Tash Webster has joined our office team on a
more regular basis and Mr Kurt Forrester will be assisting with technology
support through a traineeship program. There are many exciting opportunities
ahead for the students and we have encouraged them to take up
opportunities to build their personal understandings, skills and relationships
through the year. We’re looking forward to working with you to see our
students grow to achieve their personal best in 2020.
