Dinner and a Book ClubTuesday, April 165:30 – 7:00pmJoin us for a relaxing evening as we discuss The Honk and Holler Opening Soon. After returning from Vietnam in a wheelchair and opening a roadside café, Carney never ventures off the premises. Then Vena Takes Horse, a vibrant young woman with a three-legged dog, enters not only the café but the lives of the regulars and, eventually, Carney’s heart. Pick up a copy of the book at the Burns Branch Library and bring a dish for the potluck that evening. For more information about the book, please call the library or visit with staff. (Adults)

It’s Bookface Friday! Friday, April 19 10am-5pm What is bookface? It works by lining up your face or another body part alongside a book cover that features a matching face so that there is a mixing of life and book art! Check out our display of books featuring faces. Hold up a book to your face, take a photo, and share it on the Laramie County Library System Facebook page with the hashtag #bookface. (Grades K-12 & Adults)

Earth Day: Bees! Saturday, April 2710-11am In recognition of Earth Day (April 22), local beekeeper Doug Bauer will present a short program about honeybees. Come learn about this extraordinary creature, find out what you can do to help honeybees, and sample some raw honey. (Adults & Teens)

Seniors and Veterans ConnectMondays: April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 2-4pmSeniors and veterans are invited to come in for a cup of coffee, relax, visit, and enjoy free activities. On April 29, there will be a showing of the movie Green Book. Receiving five Oscar nominations, this movie is based on the true story of a working-class Italian-American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South.
