A company that wants to remain fresh and appealing must rethink its brand at periodic intervals. And, for a brand to change the core of the venture, it has to go through a transformation first. Scaling your people Gravita itself has seen a scaling up from 6cr. To 300cr. In a span of 2 year. We fairly targets to achive 1000 cr. in upcomg years. The question in, what are we doing in terms of our skillset, our capability to handle scale issues. We ill need to handle in time. Certianly to have to upgrade ourselves with best tools in terms of information technology, learn advancements coming in the field in this time. Failure to upgrade will make one out of place and both will have one only. It Is therefore mandatory for ouselves to continuously motivate for ‘sharpening the saw’ to enable ourself to be able to lead in future scenario. When I was looking to write to all of you , there were many thoughts but one recent workshop on ‘’ Scaling Up‘’ actually touched me deep internally .     Gravita Metals Health checkup Camp, Jammu

    Tenacity

    Health checkup camp for School Children Gravita in its drive for better health and education organized a health check-up camp at Fortis Hospital Jaipur for students from School at Phagi adopted by Gravita as part of its CSR initiative. Almost 50 students attended the check-up camp who were diagnosed by panel of doctors comprising General Physician, Pediatrician and ENT specialists.

    This was first of its kind activity for the school as well as the students. The students were provided transportation facility and refreshment both pre and post check up by the Company.

    Employee education assistance Scheme

    Gravita Metals, Jammu, a wholly owned subsidiary firm of the Gravita India Limited, organized a health check-up camp on 29th October 2013 at Jammu in association with ESIC hospital Jammu for employees and the family members of Gravita Metals as part of its CSR initiative. Almost 55 people attended the check-up camp that was diagnosed by panel of doctors comprising General Physician and specialists of AIDS and Hepatitis.

    In addition to the general check-up, tests of AIDS of all 3 stages and Hepatitis B & C, the attendees were sensitized by the doctors about AIDS and Hepatitis through pamphlets and pictorial presentations. Attendees will be provided medicines, wherever required, by ESIC hospital free of cost.

    CSR Activities Gravita has always been keen on giving back to the society. The CSR policy of the group focuses on the three main areas viz. Health, Education & Environment.

    First payment of Rs 1,62,875 of Employee Ward Education Grant distributed to all eligible Wards of our employee in Oct 2013. Keeping its commitment to ensure education for all ,Gravita once again cemented the focus on nurturing the talent with education. 26 wards of 18 employees received the cheque from Team HR based on criterion set for this grant.

    Employees express their gratitude towards this Nobel gesture of organisation by supporting them in ensuring education for their wards.

    The Fenibat 2013 Exhibition was organized at Londrina, Paraná, Brazil during 02 and 03rd December, 2013. The Exhibition was featured with more than 50 booths of companies providing products and services for the industry of lead acid batteries and lead recycling.

    Gravita was represented and Exhibited by Mr. Naveen Prakash Sharma, CEO of the company and Mr. Vijay Pareekh (Vice president, Sales & Marketing). The goal was to promote new products, services and technologies for national and international battery manufacturers and recyclers of lead.

    Launch of ''Simplify'' is an historic moment in Gravita, As organisation is achieving its commitment to deliver best in employee hygiene area by leveraging the support of Information Technology. Simplify as name suggest is all set to ensure access of all information on finger touch. Simplify will allow employees to access all relevant HR information which is important and significant for every employee . Employee can now apply leave, raise request for travel, know the policies and many more features which most of time got delayed due to non availability of same at that moment. Simplify will also support in educating employees about various HR policies, SOPs and their eligibility in various employee welfare activities and initiatives.

    Blood donation is a noble cause and every blood donor has contributed towards community development. Blood donation camp was organized by HR

    team in association with SwasthyaKalyan Blood Bank, Jaipur. 68 enthusiatic participants including employees, office and support staff participated in

    this nobel cause. 47 proud donors donated their blood. We thank our donors for their participation and will continue to associate ourselves with such

    initiatives in the near future. The camp concluded with donors being served tea, coffee, refreshment and a token of appreciation.
