Set in wonderfully reimagined 18th century stables and courtyard just a few miles from Edinburgh’s city centre in Dalkeith Country Park, this is a haven to restore the spirits. To make conversation fly. To delight and entertain. And to have some fun.

We’ve many strings to our bow, with venues to suit all manner of occasions, from intimate celebrations to corporate conferences. Family parties, business seminars, lingering lunches: they come naturally here.Modern and authentic.

Our menus draw on delicious, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, often from Buccleuch estates where possible. Exquisitely realised within the old stone walls, with glass and wood and zinc, our spaces are unashamedly contemporary and yet true to themselves. And then we’ve 1,000 acres of parkland and forest too, for team building, head-clearing, roaming free.

Wellbeing Lab

Restoration Café is a gorgeous light-filled room where old meets new. Where original stonework meets tall windows, with views out to the River Esk and our famous Orangerie. Comfortable banquettes line two sides. Even our tables tell a story, with individually, whimsically curated collectables beneath the glass. Our chefs pride themselves on their attention to detail and our menus are carefully designed to reflect the best of modern, welcoming Scottish cooking.

The Boudoir is a stunning private room that can be hired during the day for special occasions, afternoon teas or breakfast meetings. Elegant and comfortable, it follows the tradition of the Duchesses of Buccleuch & Queensberry to have a personal sanctuary within their great houses. Inspired by a rare 17th century cabinet in Boughton House, it’s chic and inviting.

Wellbeing LabAt Restoration Yard, we passionately believe in restoration and care of the self. So we’ve created a retreat for healing and physical therapies, to rebalance and renew: our Wellbeing Lab. Spaciousand bright, it hosts an ongoing programme of classes and activities like yoga, meditation, baby massage, craft-making and more. However, we don’t do yoga all the time, and when it’s available this space is ideal for workshops, collaborative get-togethers, creative sessions and business meetings. With the Café and our Coffee Bar close to hand, it’s an inspiring space to bring fresh ideas to life.
