Every child is distinctive

The brain is one of the largest and most complex organs in the human body.

It is made up of more than 100 billion nerves that communicate in trillions of

connections called synapses.

The brain is made up of many specialized areas that work together:

• The cortex is the outermost layer of brain cells. Thinking and voluntary movements

begin in the cortex.

• The brain stem is between the spinal cord and the rest of the brain. Basic functions

like breathing and sleep are controlled here.

• The basal ganglia are a cluster of structures in the center of the brain. The basal

ganglia coordinate messages between multiple other brain areas.

• The cerebellum is at the base and the back of the brain. The cerebellum is

responsible for coordination and balance.

The brain is also divided into several lobes:

• The frontal lobes are responsible for problem solving and judgment and motor

function.

• The parietal lobes manage sensation, handwriting, and body position.

• The temporal lobes are involved with memory and hearing.

• The occipital lobes contain the brain's visual processing system.

UCMAS is a unique and scientifically proven brain development program designed for children to develop their latent mental power at a very early age when brain development is reaching its peak. The program is suitable for children aged 4 and above, as it offers the young an opportunity to accelerate their progress in mental ability, development and academic excellence.

Along with innovative syllabus and modern education techniques, whereby junior learners' practice with a very old tool (the abacus),the learning process not only stimulates the brain and trains children enhancing their ability to independently perform mental calculation in their head.

UCMAS has been recognized worldwide for its proven results with the most obvious being the learners' fantastic mental arithmetic ability and speedy calculation after undergoing the mental arithmetic program. Mental arithmetic compromises arithmetic calculation regardless of the complexity, using only the brain. What initially seems impossible becomes a reality with UCMAS !

HOW UCMAS BENEFITS CHILDREN?

When a child takes on the UCMAS program, he or she takes on the role as a learner, observer and thinker, UCMAS training methodology will guide the learner to analyze and solve given objects or numbers. As a result, the training enhances the learner's alertness and swiftness of the mind and senses .

Through observation, the learner picks up fast and learns how to concentrate on a focus point with clear reflection that creates a deep image and mental impression.

Observation leads to enhanced concentration and better mental absorption power, even when the environment is noisy or distracting.

The memory revolves around three processes: 1) Identify,2) Retain and 3) Recall. In our training, learners will constantly repeat these three processes in high speed. (1) Where they wilI start with identifying the sum and effortlessly interpret it onto imaginary abacus beads (2) followed by retaining the imagined abacus beads and performing the calculation. (3) and lastly, recalling the beads and writing the answer for the sum accurately.

The "Identify, Retain and Recall process is carried out throughout the UCMASprogram where learners are trained to continuously repeat the process as fast as they possibly could. They reason out the answer of the sum by judging their visual, auditory and kinesthetic senses. They intercept what they see, hear or feel through applications of the mental arithmetic techniques.Speedy calculation aside, learners will be able to sharpen their photographic memory and imagination while expanding their creativity at the end of the day

The UCMAS Mental Arithmetic Program trains the brain and the child as well, the noble diet for brain development. UCMAS techniques are scientifically -proven to allow full development of the human brain and maximize the potential of the left (logic) and right (creativity) hemispheres. When learners are used to reach with accuracy in challenging the time, it gives them an opportunity to reach creatively by thinking out of the box faster than anybody. This becomes an acquired talent and self-confidence for the learner.

How

UCMAS

TRAINS MY CHILD ?The abacus is an ancient calculation tool which was developed in China some 3,000 years ago. Today, it is used teach children calculation.

The UCMAS program has been integrating the abacus into its innovative delivery techniques. Now it has become a unique program which specifically guides our learners from mastering the skills to completing all course levels for a wholesome brain development.

We find that through the manipulation of the abacus using both hands, children literally get hands-on" approach towards learning. The abacus is a tactile instrument, stimulating play and accelerating the development of the right side of the brain at the same time.

UCMAS program boasts educational tools which enable creative learning in a holistic manner.

1. Visualization

2. Listening

3. Flash cards

4. Speed writing

5. Multimedia

A few training methods used in UCMAS :

How UCMAS TRAINS MY CHILD ?

Step3

Step1

Step2

Every child takes four

months to complete

each level. The session

is conducted once a

week and 2 hours per

session

As the program requires time on concentration and calculation, each

session is limited to only a small number of learners in a class room to give

every one full attention and care from our dedicated trainers.

The program is designed to serve

children aged 4-13 years old, but that

doesn’t mean those who have completed

their 13thYear of age can’t continue to

achieve the higher levels of the program

if they are willing to.

The Certification Authority is UCMAS

International Headquarter in Malaysia.

The number of children per session is 10

unless there are exceptional

circumstances & reasons which will be

assessed by the administration.

Enrollment Requirements

Children to attend must be able to Read / Write & Count from 1 - 20

***Otherwise they have to attend the very foundation level for preparation to enroll in the program, this will depend on the number of children available to participate.
