A is for athletes Every four years thousands of

athletes come from around the world to play in the Olympic games.

B is for biathlon

Biathlon is where you cross country ski and shoot targets with a rifle.

C is for curling

Curling is when you slide on your foot slide a rock across the ice and try to knock your opponents rock off the target

D is for Dominate

Every 4 years athletes dominate the tracks, courses and venues.

E is for extreme

Every 4 years at the Olympics athletes try to do extreme stunts and tricks.

F is for Marc Andre Fleury

Marc Andre Fleury is the goalie for the Pittsburg Penguins and is one of the backup goalies for team Canada.

G is for Ryan Getzlaf

Ryan Getzlaf is on team Canada in the Olympics but in the NHL he plays for The Anaheim Ducks.

H is for half pipe

A half pipe is a u shaped obstacle that snowboarders go down and do tricks off of them.

I is for Jarome Inginla

Jarome Inginla is playing for team Canada this year but he actually plays for the Calgary Flames in the NHL.

J is for Japan

Japan is one of the very many countries playing in the Olympic games.

K is for Cindy Klassen

Cindy Klassen is a speed skater in women's speed skating. She is 30, she weighs 71kg and is 172 cm tall.

L is a Luge

Luge is just like skeleton but you sit differently. Luge is the French word for sled.

M is for Miga

Miga is a sea bear and she is an Olympic mascot. She loves to snowboard and surf and her dream is to land a corked 720.

N is for Nordic Combined

Nordic Combined is a combination of downhill skiing and cross country skiing.

O is for Olympic Rings

The Olympic Rings are one of the most important logo of the Olympic games.

P is for Paralympics

The Paralympics are held after the Olympics. They are for handicap people.

Q is for Quatchi

Quatchi is an Olympic mascot. He is a sasquatch. He also has a tattoo of an inukshuk on his right bicep.

R is for Russia

Russia is one of the many country that plays in the winter Olympics. Did you know Canada

S is for Sidney Crosby

Sidney Crosby is the youngest player in the NHL. He is 22 years old and won the gold medal game On February 28th.

T is for Thailand

Thailand is one of the many countries competing in the Olympic games.

Z is for Zamboni

A zamboni is a machine that’s cleans ice to make it easier to skate on after it’s been skated on.
