Evolutionary Man

Where are the Missing Links?

Page 2: Evolutionary Man

Gigantopithecus (Giant Ape) was the supposed Common Ancestor of both apes and men.

It was later removed from the line when enough scientists, including Richard Leakey determined it was nothing more than just a giant ape.

Page 3: Evolutionary Man

The next in line, Ramapithecus was imagined from 2 jawbone fragments that were about 2 inches long.

One was found in India and the other in Africa.

Page 4: Evolutionary Man

Australopithecus means “Southern Ape”. The only reason that scientists have concluded that this creature was not a type of ape was because they found chips of rock about the size of an acorn nearby. They determined that these were “tools”.

Note – Modern Apes have been observed using tools today.

Page 5: Evolutionary Man

In 1974 these bones were discovered which were considered a great breakthrough for evolutionists. They called it “Lucy”, named after the Beatles’ song which was playing at the time.

The bones were determined to be of a chimpanzee but they claimed that it walked upright like humans. How did they come to this conclusion?

LUCY

Because they found a fragment of a knee joint which was determined to

belong to an erect creature.

The knee joint was found half a mile away and

200 feet deeper in the ground!

Page 6: Evolutionary Man

And from that bit of bone, they have come up

with this.

Artist’s depiction of Lucy.

Page 7: Evolutionary Man

In 1973 Richard Leakey found this skull under some volcanic ash and determined that it was much older than other more ape-like

ancestors skulls were. This messed up the evolutionary chain.

How did the scientists explain this?

The skull of 1470 man and the artist’s rendition of how it looked.

They simply went back and “recalculated” the date of the volcanic ash to fit their theory!

The other question is how did they determine the shape of the nose, cheek bones, and lower jaw?.

They had to make it up because the bones which would determine that shape are missing!

Page 8: Evolutionary Man

However in 1907, another expedition determined that the volcanic ash that had covered these bones may have been no more than 500 years old. Many scientists began to question Dubois so he refused to let anyone inspect his fossils.

Before he died, he changed his claim and said the bones were from a giant gibbon.

Bones of Java Man

In 1887 Eugene Dubois lead some soldiers on a hunt for bones on the island of Java. They found this tooth, leg bone, and skull cap by the Solo River.

Dubois decided it was 500,000 years old and with his professor, they determined it walked upright and so they called it “Homo Erectus”.

It is worth noting that Dubois was a medical doctor, not an experienced archaeologist.

Page 9: Evolutionary Man

Despite all this scientists still consider Java Man as the missing link.Notice how the books show a full skull instead of just the cap?

And notice the shape of the whole head that is determined from just the skull cap?

Page 10: Evolutionary Man

Another “missing link” is Peking Man. Peking Man has been created from 2 teeth found in a hillside near Peking China in 1921, plus another tooth found 6 years later, and a skull cap found 2 years after that.

Six years later they found another tooth, and a skull cap was found 2 years after that.

Page 11: Evolutionary Man

By 1934 they had found 14 skull fragments, 11 jawbones, 7 thigh fragments, 2 arm bones, 1 wrist bone, and 147 teeth. Along with all this were 1,000’s of animal bones including elephants and deer.

From this they created “Nellie” and she appears all around the world today in museums.

Page 12: Evolutionary Man

What text books do not tell us is that later a scientist named Marcellin Boule visited the site and examined the bones.

He determined that they were a collection of battered monkey skulls scattered amongst other animal bones were all left over after being eaten by people.

Today we no longer can inspect all these bones because they were all lost in World War II except for two teeth.

Page 13: Evolutionary Man

What text books do say is that Peking Man was the first ape-man to use fire because they found “traces of fire” nearby.

What they actually found was a 23 foot deep ash pit surrounded by soil fused together by what could only have been a significant fire such as an industrial furnace.

What we are never told is that in this area were also found many “normal” human remains as well as man-made stone tools.

Peking Man was later called “homo erectus”, just like Java Man.

Page 14: Evolutionary Man

By now they have found over 200 examples of “homo erectus” in Asia, Africa, and Australia and all seem to qualify

as thoroughly human.

Page 15: Evolutionary Man

Many of you have heard of Neanderthals. They are considered as the closest species to humans. They came up with this creature in the mid 1800’s.

In 1872 Rudolf Virchow (now considered the father of modern pathology) studied the bones and determined that they were ancient humans who had suffered from rickets (a bone disease) and arthritis.

A Neanderthal skeleton next to a human one. Can you tell which is which?

Page 16: Evolutionary Man

But evolutionary scientists continue to claim that the bones are not human but instead belonged to

a hairy looking, hunched cave man.

Page 17: Evolutionary Man

The same can be said of the Cro-Magnon Man who made the famous cave paintings of Lascaux.

In fact, the brains of all these early humans were 10 – 15% larger than ours!

Is it logical then to assume they were not as intelligent as us?

Page 18: Evolutionary Man

To throw even more suspicion on the claims of evolutionists are the stories behind “Piltdown Man” and “Nebraska Man”.

Piltdown Man was created from a skull cap and jaw bone found in England in 1912. However it was discovered in 1953 that the teeth had been filed down to fit the jaw bone and the bones had been stained to make them look old!

Page 19: Evolutionary Man

Then the final shame on evolutionary science happened in 1922.

Henry Osborn was determined to beat William Jennings Bryan, a Christian who was fighting against the idea to

teach evolution in American classrooms.

Page 20: Evolutionary Man

In 1922, Osborn found a fossil tooth in Nebraska and claimed it was an early ape-man, the final missing link. Supporters of evolution

convinced the Illustrated London News to publish this drawing on a full 2 page spread. The public bought it without considering that

this claim was made from a single tooth.

Page 21: Evolutionary Man

A few years later, in 1925, the famous Scopes “Monkey Trail” took place. This was when the “American Civil Liberties Union” (ACLU) fought in court to have Evolution taught in American public schools instead of Creation.

John Scopes

Though they lost the case, they eventually won the battle because by the 1960’s, Evolution became the only “Origins” explanation

accepted in public schools.

Page 22: Evolutionary Man

But though it is being taught, scientists are still at odds about evolution. Even Richard Leakey stated in the Vancouver Sun

(March 19, 1982) that “The whole basis on which paleontologists classify fossil apes and humans is misleading.”

For example, the image below in a National Geographic article from April, 1979 shows the conclusion that scientists came to

after finding human foot prints in some volcanic ash in 1979. Why did they assume that the giraffes, ostrich, and guinea fowl are

modern looking but not the humans?

Page 23: Evolutionary Man

Today Evolution is taught around the world.Yet still those who hold on to the faith that LIFE began with

Evolutionary Chance are still a Minority in the world.

Page 24: Evolutionary Man

Yet there are many assumptions held because of Evolutionary Theory. For example - Were there Cave Men?

The Bible says that prehistoric people built cities.

Page 25: Evolutionary Man

Archeaology shows that early people were very intelligent, not dumb brutes who still needed to evolve.

Page 26: Evolutionary Man

The way people are handling the world, we might think that Evolution looks more like this.
