DESCRIPTION

Evolve IP recently surveyed 566 professionals and executives working in a variety of functional areas for their organizations, for a study on the adoption of mobility and bring your own device (BYOD) programs in the workplace. The survey provided some interesting results, like the fact that the overwhelming majority of businesses (95%) either support or enable mobility, work from home, and/or BYOD programs. And, 90 percent of those surveyed confessed to using their mobile devices for non-work related functions during work hours. Evolve IP’s 2014 Mobility and BYOD survey examined the adoption and productivity trends of mobility-enabling technologies and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programs in North American organizations.

The survey was taken by professionals working in a variety of functional areas for their organizations. A total of 566 respondents participated in the web-based survey. Fifty-seven percent of the respondents were from organizations with between 100-1,999 employees; 27 percent from organizations with less than 100 employees; and 16 percent from organizations with more than 2,000 employees.
