Data analysis and Interpretation have been introduced in that place. The word �high level� is being used in the section of test of reasoning giving importance to the logical and analytical reasoning. Easy questions cannot be seen hereafter. SBI have announced the descriptive paper as �test of English�.� With this there is no chance of writing this paper in Hindi. According to the recent changes, selection procedure will be in two stages.

Objective Test:

There will be 200 questions in the objective test which is a part of written test. Every question carries one mark. Each question is given 5 choices. Time given for the objective paper is 2 hours implying there will be 36 seconds for every question to be answered. Negative marking also is present.

English Language:

As a part of this section, there will be questions regarding grammar, vocabulary and comprehension.

There may be more questions on mistakes in the sentence formation. It would be of help if you work out the practical usage rather than memorizing the grammatical rule.

It is advisable to read the questions first then go for the comprehension passage. This will make answering the questions easy.

Vocabulary can be improved by reading English newspapers and essays.� Memorizing the word list will not be of much use.

General awareness, marketing and computers:

General awareness is the area of toughness for the PO aspirants. This section covers questions in the area of current affairs, marketing and computers.

In this section 35 questions will be from general awareness, 10 from marketing and 5 questions will be from computers. To be in touch with the current affairs reading the newspaper s will be the best.

Questions will be about the incidents that occurred during the last one year. So better go through the old newspapers and make a note.

As the bank PO�s exam is national wide competitive exam, the regional� news may not be important.

More questions may be in the area of persons in the news, places, Indian economy, budget, sports and awards.

In the marketing subject, there will be questions in respect of the fundamentals. Also basic banking words are also dealt.

Those questions regarding the computers will be such that they can be answered easily by many of the candidates. It is enough if prepared with the computer basics along with the shortcut keys and internet.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

The questions in this section are based on tables, charts, graph or bar diagrams.� Answering such questions and interpreting data will be easy if you learn how to present a data. So candidates should learn the various ways of presenting data such as preparing tables and drawing graphs etc.

Good marks can be scored in this section by preparing the presentation of various ways of relation between two numbers.

Test of Reasoning:

Analytical and logical reasoning related questions will be more in this section.

In analytical reasoning question will be relating to the data arrangement and selection criteria.

Logical reasoning will include questions regarding Statement � Assumption, Statement � Conclusion, Statement � Course of Action, Statement � Arguments and Degrees of Truth. These questions reveal the decision making capacity of the candidates.

Descriptive Test:

Questions under this section will be from essays, letter writing and Pr�cis Comprehensions. Totally this paper will be such that it will show the written communication skills of the candidate.

Important instructions:

On the whole, the SBI PO�s exam will estimate the ability and intelligence of a candidate to work as bank officer.

Those candidates who prepare according to the new pattern of the test will definitely succeed.

There is only 2 months of time for the exam. The candidates should utilize the time and prepare in a right way.
