Opening Program

1. Go into Finder

2. Select applications

3. Select ExamView Pro folder

4. Double-click on - ExamView Test Generator

ExamView Registration

1. Click “don’t show this message in the future”

2. Click “Close”

Create a Test

1. Click the “Create a New Test” button

2. Type in the title of the new test

3. From the test window select one of the three options

1. Select questions randomly

2. Select questions while viewing

3. Select all questions

**The other options are now worthwhile

Create a test - 2

1. Follow Step 1 by double-clicking the question bank you desire (Up one level button takes you “back”)

2. Navigate through the desired folders until content is found

Create a Test - 3

1. Multiple question banks can be brought into the bottom section

2. Click “Next” after all content is retrieved

Select Questions Randomly

1. Determine the number of each “Question Type” desired on the test

2. Type this number into the “Additional Selections” section

3. Click Finish

Select Questions While Viewing

1. A preview of all questions will appear

2. Click the check box next to each question or type of question listed

3. Click Finish

Select all Questions

1. A confirmation will appear indicating the number of questions to be imported

2. The complete test will be generated

Customizing the TestEditing questions

1. Double-click on any question you would like to edit

2. Edit the question and/or answers

3. Tips- bolding words, removing answers, and increasing font are good ways to accommodate

Recalculating Values

1. Highlight a question with the calculator icon next to it

2. Click the calculator in the toolbar

3. The values within the question and answer will be recalculated

Toggle Binomial States (Changing question format)

1. Select a question with a red dot icon

2. Click the switch icon in the toolbar

3. The question will switch formats

Example: Multiple choice question will become a short answer

Question Bank Editor (file - switch to question bank editor)

1. Create new question bank and name it accordingly

2. Click “new” in the lower left hand corner

3. Select the type of question you would like to add

Creating questions in Test Bank Editor

1. A window will appear to allow you to create your own question

2. You can customize the question in any way

3. “Record” will save the question

QuickTest Wizard (file - Switch to test builder)

1. Name the test and select the test bank you would like to add (just like creating a test)

2. Enter the number of questions you would like for each question type

3. Click next to see overview of questions

4. Click finish

Printing Test

1. Click the print

icon in upper left

2. Select number of versions and how each version is changed

3. Select to print answer strip

4. Click OK
