EXCITEMENT OF KBIS 2015 PROPELS EXHIBITOR GROWTH FOR 2016 SHOW One month after the success of the 2015 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), plans are already underway to expand the show in 2016. More than 315 manufacturers and brands have committed to exhibit at KBIS 2016. Emerald Expositions has already sold 266,130 net square feet of exhibit space – in the first month – almost the equivalent of what was sold in all of 2015. This is the second year in a row KBIS has experienced such tremendous growth. During the 2015 show, more than 33,119 industry professionals canvassed the show floor. The 2015 event attracted over 500 exhibitors, including 96 new presenters and 87 Loyalty Leaders – the group of exhibitors recognized for their commitment to consecutively exhibiting at KBIS for at least the past six years. Part of this success is due to the creation of Design & Construction Week™. KBIS, in conjunction with the International Builders’ Show (IBS), owned by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), anchor the week-long mega-event, which this year also included the Winter 2015 Las Vegas Market and The International Surface Event – SURFACES and Tile Expo. “Bringing Design and Construction Week™ to the industry is a major accomplishment from NKBA and our colleagues at NAHB,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA CEO. “We have created a vibrant forum to get business done in the kitchen and bath industry, fulfilling a major part of our association mission. EXCITEMENT OF KBIS 2015 PROPELS EXHIBITOR GROWTH FOR 2016 SHOW

One month after the success of the 2015 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), plans are

already underway to expand the show in 2016. More than 315 manufacturers and brands have

committed to exhibit at KBIS 2016. Emerald Expositions has already sold 266,130 net square

feet of exhibit space – in the first month – almost the equivalent of what was sold in all of 2015.

This is the second year in a row KBIS has experienced such tremendous growth. During the

2015 show, more than 33,119 industry professionals canvassed the show floor. The 2015 event

attracted over 500 exhibitors, including 96 new presenters and 87 Loyalty Leaders – the group of

exhibitors recognized for their commitment to consecutively exhibiting at KBIS for at least the

past six years.

Part of this success is due to the creation of Design & Construction Week™. KBIS, in conjunction

with the International Builders’ Show (IBS), owned by the National Association of Home Builders

(NAHB), anchor the week-long mega-event, which this year also included the Winter 2015 Las

Vegas Market and The International Surface Event – SURFACES and Tile Expo.

“Bringing Design and Construction Week™ to the industry is a major accomplishment from

NKBA and our colleagues at NAHB,” said Bill Darcy, NKBA CEO. “We have created a vibrant

forum to get business done in the kitchen and bath industry, fulfilling a major part of our

association mission. From here, it only gets better with outstanding programming, top-notch

learning opportunities, and the enthusiastic support of all our exhibitors launching their new

innovations at KBIS.”

The combination of the addition of the South Hall, branded KBISNeXTTM, a full schedule of

educational programming, and packed exhibition floors has demonstrated a strong appetite for

this event.

“Given the successful introduction of KBISNeXTTM, the Innovative Showroom Awards as well as

the amount of exhibition space now sold for 2016 – all within weeks of the conclusion of the 2015

show – we’re very optimistic about the possibilities for 2016,” said Brian Pagel, VP, Kitchen &

Bath, Emerald Expositions. “We are excited about the future of this platform and our industry.”
