PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Executive Development Program in Blockchain intends to equip mid and senior managers

with the relevant and requisite knowledge about Blockchain, one of the most disruptive

technologies today, and various known use cases of Blockchain in industry. This will enable

participants to make a strategic choice of whether, where and how to implement Blockchain in

their industry and derive business benefits from such implementation. This Program will also

provide participants with knowledge to assess the challenges in implementing Blockchain and

suggest means to overcome such challenges.

While the participants will be given an exposure to the technology backbone of Blockchain, the

core objective of this program is to critically evaluate the applicability of Blockchain in various use

cases in industry, possible benefits and challenges around such implementation.

This program covers the fundamental concepts around Blockchain, different industry use cases,

present challenges around its implementation and future of Blockchain. The program also

provides exposure to the basic technology around Blockchain without delving deeper into it.

ASSESSMENTS

A minimum of 70% attendance to the LIVE lectures is a prerequisite for the successful

completion of this program. The evaluation component for this program will include a

Capstone project. Participants who successfully complete the same and satisfy the requisite

attendance criteria, will be awarded a certificate of completion by XLRI. Participants who are

unable to clear the evaluation criteria but have the requisite attendance will be awarded a

participation certificate by XLRI.

CERTIFICATION

On the payment of all due fees and upon satisfying the

requisite attendance and evaluation/certification criteria

of the Executive Development Program in Blockchain

for Senior Managers, participants will be awarded a

Certification of Completion issued by XLRI.

WORK EXPERIENCE

ELIGIBILITY

For Indian Participants - Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a

recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline

For International Participants - Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized

University or Institution in their respective country

FACULTY

The primary method of instruction will be through LIVE lectures that will be beamed online via

Internet to student desktops/laptops or classrooms. The pedagogy will comprise lectures by

XLRI faculties and will be taught with the help of lectures, case studies and use case analysis. All

enrolled students will also be provided access to our SLIQ Cloud Campus through which

students may access other learning aids, reference materials, assessments, case studies, projects

and assignments as appropriate. Throughout the duration of the program, students will have the

flexibility to reach out to the professors, real time during the class or offline via our SLIQ Cloud

Campus Campus to raise questions and clear doubts.

Dr Rajeev Sharma is working as an Associate Professor in the area of Information Systems and

Strategic Management with XLRI Jamshedpur. Prof Sharma has been associated with XLRI for

more than 16 years after an illustrious career as a Research Analyst.

DrDr Sharma has published extensively in various journals of national and international repute like

International Journal of Organizational and Collective Intelligence, Journal of Case Research etc.

and has been an avid speaker at a plethora of International Platforms. He has also presented

papers in Conference on Virtuality and Virtualization, Portland, Oregon; International

Conference on Management of Globally Distributed Work; Indian Institute of Management

Bangalore, India; IFIP ISGLOB03 Athens, Greece, IRMA International Conference and others.
