Install Exhaust Diffuser Body 7. Exhaust Diffuser is secured with (4) M6 bolts attaching to the L-bracket clip-on nuts.

8. Carefully position the Exhaust Diffuser body into position inserting (4) M6 bolts through the Diffuser Body and

into the L-bracket clip-on bottom nuts. SNUG BOLTS TEMPORARILY TO DIFFUSER BODY.

9. Using 11mm socket with 12” extension/universal joint, slowly tighten (4) INNER Bracket U-bolt nuts on Saddle

Clamps. (See Figs. 7 & 8). Remove extension/universal bolt and tighten (4) OUTER Bracket U-bolts nuts from the

sides. You may need to adjust Saddle Clamp position in this process to align diffuser body.

10. Tighten (4) M6 bolts to 15-17 ft. lbs. torque. Check torque of these bolts 2-3 times a year to prevent loose bolts and

potential damage to vehicle.

REMOVAL: Exhaust Diffuser Panel can be easily removed for maintenance or service access by removing (4)

bolts with 10mm socket. Remember to re-apply a THREAD LOCK when re-stalling Exhaust Diffuser Panel.

Figure 8

NOTE: Borla recommends using a liquid thread-lock to all hardware bolts to minimize bolts becoming loose. Inspect hard-

ware periodically to prevent loose hardware that could lead to damage. Maximum M6 bolt torque value (dry): 9-10 ft. lbs.
