Future Archive Thoughts
Cassini Archive Support Page
• Project to continue adding helpful search aids - files, charts, etc.
• Work in progress – feedback to Reta Beebe http://atmos.nmsu.edu/.
Documented Cassini Requirements to PDS for future project use
• Instrument Data Users’ Guide Requirements
• Project Archive Support Page Requirements
Key Lessons Learned from Cassini’s perspective:
• Search requirements to link planned science activities to archived
products should be generated and implemented early in the mission.
• Calibrated data should be a key requirement due to its higher value over
raw data with calibration tools.
• Budgets permitting, some derived higher order products should be flagged
as planned archive deliverables.
• Data product formats should be standardized across all instruments to the
extent practical.
