Bike the Mt. Vernon Bike Trail
From the Rosslyn Metro, grab a bike at the Capital Bikeshare Station at Wilson Dr.& Ft. Myer Dr. https://secure.capitalbikeshare.com/map/ and enjoy a ride on the Mt.Vernon Bike Trail and heading South. The entire bike trail is about 36 miles, but youwill see lots with just riding a few miles, and it's mostly flat. For those airplanelovers, Ride to Gravelly Point, near the Reagan Airport to watch planes take offright above you! http://www.bikewashington.org/trails/vernon/
Head to The National Museum of American HistoryRide the bike along the trail, or hop back on the Metro to the Smithsonian Station.The museum is located at Constitution Avenue, NW, between 12th and 14thStreets.
