The Sakai area has been producing excellent tools and
weapons since ancient times and is now a vast production
area of kitchen knives. The museum also o�ers visitors a

Seasoned artisans o�er live demonstrations of the final
stage in the process, known as hatsuke or sharpening on
Saturdays and Sundays.

Maikoya Osaka is an upscale cultural experience
centre established to teach the skills practiced by the
Maiko in the historical Shinmachi district of Osaka.
Cultural workshops are held in English, exploring the
many traditional Japanese arts such as Tea Ceremony,
Kimono dressing, Japanese calligraphy, cooking classes,
and ikebana at their cultural centre, which formerly served
as a Geisha House. Step into Japan’s history and culture

NAKANOSHIMA RIVER CRUISE
The Nakanoshima River Cruise, a next-genera-
tion style cruise is enjoyed with spectacular
sound e�ects and beautiful scenery. Enjoy this
river cruise surrounded by lit up bridges, retro
buildings and the famous neon signs of the
Nakanoshima area.

OSAKA WALKING TOUR
Take in the sights along the Nakanoshima Waterfront Park,
a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The park was Osaka’s first
and was built in 1891. A popular spot for promenading.
The Nakanoshima area is home to the Osaka City Central
Public Hall, designated as an Important National Cultural
Heritage site, surrounded by other stunning buildings built
in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

and drying it with a flash frying method.
