Migration from SUSE Manager 3.2 to 4.0

o Not in-place, but migrate to a new server

o Base installer for new instance: SLES 15 SP1, sized in-line with

existing 3.2

o Creates a replacement server that inherits FQDN, client registration

o File migration: RPM files, bootstrap scripts, bootstrap repos, salt

.sls files, other configuration elements

o Database migration – All data from 3.2 postgresql brought into 4
