Mount Rushmore Rushmore is the mountain in the Black Hills of South Dakota It’s a mountain which has the Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln,
Roosevelt are carved in the rock. It is important because it shows the faces of some of our most important
presidents. Gutzon Borglum and 400 workers are the people responsible for building this
sculpture in Mount Rushmore. This site represents that anything can be done if you put your mind to it,
because the Presidents sculpted surely accomplished that which seemed impossible.

Francisco. Not only is it the high light of San Fran. but it’s also a gateway to northern
California. Joseph Strauss, Irving Morrow, and Charles Ellis are the primary designers of
the bridge. The many works who worked so hard, some even gave their life to build this bridge. Those are truly responsible for it’s creation.
The bridge represents a engineering marvel of its time, many thought it couldn’t be done. However it still stands today.

It’s a National Park and therefore the wild life and habitat is protected from man. Yellowstone was the first National Park established by U.S. Congress and

The Grand Canyon The Grand Canyon is located in Coconino County, Colorado. The Grand Canyon is a very large canyon carved by the Colorado River. The importance lies in the Wild Life, and the Hover Dam on the Colorado River. Of course the canyon was made entirely by nature, but President Roosevelt was
the first to seek to protect it from man. I think The Grand Canyon is a prime example of how powerful mother nature can
be and that it isn’t mans place to mess with her.

Gettysburg National Park Gettysburg Nation Park is in Adams County, Pennsylvania. The memorial, battlefield and cemetery of The Battle Of Gettysburg. This battle was one of the biggest loses the Civil War had seen and it is
important to honor those who fought. This was also a turning point for the war. A group of concerned citizens established the Gettysburg Battlefield Memorial
Association who's purpose was to preserve areas as a memorial to the Union Army.
I think this is a place to not only remember the soldiers but also to remember what out country came from and where it’s going.
