ArbLeaf, Hayes Arboretum, 801 Elks Road, Richmond. ArbLeaf, the self-guided walking leaf collecting trail is now open. Leaves from 55 trees may be collected, starting from the Nature Center complex where maps are available. Bring pencil, paper and plan for organizing leaves as they are collected. Selected trees are numbered, marked with orange ribbons and have white signage with orange lettering labeled in English and Latin. Corn Maze, Today’s Harvest, U.S. 40 and Ohio 320, New Paris, Ohio. Maze features cast of “Modern Family” TV show. Part of the proceeds benefit Children’s Medical Center of Dayton. Other activities include new train play area, corn hole, mini golf, life-size checkers, launch the corn cannon, play with the kids in the rope maze or at the duck races, music and food. Hispanic Heritage Month Children’s Author Presentation, Oct. 14-15, around Wayne County, Ind.
