The Katherine market is chang- ing at a faster pace each year, with local proprietors now competing with online competitors from around the world and the warning is to be careful of complacency. “The worst thing to do is put your head in the sand,” Mr Morgan said. “These are long-term structural changes that require businesses to adapt. “Business owners need to be tak- ing action to make the most of their local advantage but the key is how to do that. “Small business owners under- stand risk; the key is knowing which risks to take to stay on top of change and ahead of your competitors.” Mr Morgan will visit Katherine to host free business workshops on Au- gust 20 and 21 entitled The Risk Dilemma: How Great Businesses Know Which Risks to Take.
