There are several species that your team can concentrate on. You will be asked to find out what these species are and use your research to implement management practices.

This lesson is designed for higher lever thinkers at the high school level. It is designed to integrate different subject s like biology, ecology, and earth science. The proposal portion of the project will allow students to learn and practice Power Point presentations.
Before starting this project student should have developed cooperative group skills. They will also have to integrate different subjects and information to make one proposal. Student will need know ledge of computers including web search, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

• Introduce the topic using several websites provided.• Take time to teach Excel, Word, and Power Point if needed.• Make sure you tell students that the websites provided aren’t the only resources they have.• Let the students know that they don’t have to do project in order listed they just need a final proposal in the end.• Have each team evaluate their group members to ensure fair grades for participation.• I would make of a example of what a final proposal might look like.• Allow them to explore/discover on their own. Be hands off if possible.• This project will take the class a couple of weeks to finish. I would allow for two to three in class days for problems that may come up.• Have modification ready for special needs students. • Allow time for students to present final proposal to class.
