Exporting a shapefile from Pathfinder Office 202 2 The first thing you will need to do is open ArcMap to export a Projection File that you can use. Make a connection to your GNSS Projects folder. In the catalog window right click on folder connections and select Connect to Folder. Navigate to your user > My Documents > GNSS Projects and select OK. Right click on the Layers and select Properties in the table of contents window. When the Data Frame Properties box opens select the Coordinate System Tab. Find and use the coordinate system you collected the data in. The coordinate system I will be using is Projected Coordinate Systems > NAD 1983 (US Feet) > NAD 1983 StatePlane Missouri Central FIPS 2402 Feet. Right click on that coordinate system and select Save As.

Exporting a shapefile from Pathfinder Office 2023

The first thing you will need to do is open ArcMap to export a Projection File that you can use. Make a connection to your GNSS Projects folder. In the catalog window right click on folder connections and select Connect to Folder. Navigate to your user > My Documents > GNSS Projects and select OK.

Right click on the Layers and select Properties in the table of contents window.

When the Data Frame Properties box opens select the Coordinate System Tab.

Find and use the coordinate system you collected the data in.The coordinate system I will be using is Projected Coordinate Systems > NAD 1983 (US Feet) > NAD 1983 StatePlane Missouri Central FIPS 2402 Feet.

Right click on that coordinate system and select Save As.

Browse to the GNSS folder andSelect Save.

Now that you have a projection file saved open pathfinder office. Open the data you are wanting to export.

Next select Utilities > Export.

Make sure the file you are wanting to export is in the Selected Files list. If it is not Browse for it.

Set the output folder to wherever you want to store the data.

In the Choose Export Setup select New ESRI Shapefile.

Then select the Properties Button.

In the Setup Properties make sure the Use Current Display Coordinate System is checked and for the Projection file select Browse.

Browse to the GNSS Projects folder and select the projection file you just saved.

Select it and click the Open button.

Select OK in the Export Setup Properties box.

Select Ok in the Export Dialog box.

Once your data is exported you can bring it into ArcMap and it should land in the correct location.
