BILL WORRELL

Exposures International proudly displays the largest collection of Bill Worrell’s artwork worldwide. Inspired by the ancient pictographic wall art of the Lower Pecos River, each of Bill Worrell’s intricate works of art uses a combination of symbols to convey messages of joy, freedom, spirit and celebration. The artist’s collection is comprised of artwork ranging in size from “wearable art” jewelry to the nearly 20’ high monument “Shaman of Peace” bronze sculpture, as well as Bill Worrell’s thought-provoking poetry and essays. Bill Worrell will be unveiling his newest creations, including hand-painted rock bases for his sculptures and a new collection of original paintings, all inspired by the wisdom of the Ancients! E KIM Obrzut

Master artist Kim Obrzut first began producing her iconic Hopi maidens over twenty years ago, originally working in the traditional scrape-and-smooth method used by Hopi potters for thousands of years. “I think back to my childhood with my grandfather,” Kim says, “he was persistent in quality and traditional accuracy. These beliefs still influence me today.” Kim’s career has soared with a body of work that seeks to preserve the traditions and culture of the Hopi, and her art is found in collections world-wide. One of the first Hopis to successfully work in the fine art bronze medium, Kim seeks to reveal the rich heritage of the Hopi. Exposures Gallery is proud to welcome Kim to our Annual Fall Show schedule.

UL JD CHALLENGER

Jd Challenger is considered the Nation’s leading painter of Native Americans. No other artist has explored this subject with the depth, authenticity and respect that Jd Challenger lends to every painting. He paints the story of a people rich in heritage and traditions; stories sometimes poignant, often angry . . . but always powerful and demanding to be told. Each portrait speaks its own truth. E DOUG ADAMS

Doug Adams found the inspiration for his art while working for a large steel mill. He became entranced by the process of using recycled metal to make a new, useable and beautiful product. Doug Adams’ experiences now influence his sculptural bells. Using many of the same tools and techniques with which he became familiar in the steel mill, Doug Adams masterfully combines found objects, reclaimed steel parts, priceless antiques and glass elements to create sculptures of astounding visual and aural beauty. Each unique environment will have an effect on the sound and resonance of these one-of-a-kind bells. A huge assortment of new bells will be on display during the show.
