WARNING: THE USE OF GROUND CONDITIONED AIR, WILL CAUSE A POSITIVE CABIN PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL. AN UNCONTROLLED RATE OF DOOR OPENING CAUSED BY A POSITIVE CABIN PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL MAY CAUSE BODILY HARM.

CAUTION: BEFORE CONNECTING GROUND AIR CONNECTOR ENSURE THAT THE FORWARD OUTFLOW VALVE ON THE FRONT PRESSURE BULKHEAD IS FULLY OPEN TO ALLOW CABIN PRESSURE TO RELIEVE WITH THE AIR STAIR DOOR CLOASED.

PROCEDURES

• Turn FWD OUTFLOW VALVE selector, located on the copilot's side console. To the OPEN position.

•On the appropriate side of the aircraft (depends on if the aircraft has an APU) unlatch the air conditioning door to gain access to the ground service air inlet.

•Connect the ground air connector to the ground service inlet, ensuring that the lugs on the ground air connector engage with the slots in the ground air inlet.

•Rotate the ground air connector clockwise until locked into position.

• Repeat this process, in reverse order, to terminate the use of external air conditioning.

Ground Conditioned AirThe use of ground conditioned air, (especially warm air), will cause pressure buildup in a sealed cabin. An uncontrolled rate of opening of the cabin door caused by this pressure buildup can cause bodily harm.

Before connecting ground air connector, ensure ensure that the cargo hold door is left cracked to avoid cabin pressurization.
