External GHSConnect Upgrade
Please Call the Genesis Help Desk at 563-421-4357 for assistance if needed. Go to https://www.ghsconnect.com to reach the Genesis website.
GHS Connect is not compatible with the Microsoft Edge Browser please use Internet Explorer.
Accessing GHSConnect from home will look a little different on Sept. 1. The login screen below has not
changed much. Basically Instead of several documentation and client links below the login, there is a
“Help Links” link that can be clicked to take you to a support website.
This is what the support site will look like:
Once you login to GHSConnect, the website will detect if you have a new enough Citrix Client installed.
Click Download to get the approved Citrix Client for GHSConnect.
As long as you have the ability to install software on your PC, the Citrix client will install. If you are not
the Administrator, you will get the following error:
Allow the plugin, check the agree box, and click install.
Once the file is downloaded, click the Run option.
You may have to reboot after the install. Otherwise, restart the browser and login to GHSConnect again.
It will now detect the new client and go right to the applications screen. The new screen will look a little
different. It will default to listing icons in Alphabetical order. To view similarly to how they are now,
click the categories link.

Next add GHS Connect to compatibility mode in IE as shown below by typing https://www.ghsconnect.com into the address bar and then by clicking on tools and in the dropdown you will see the compatibility view settings button. Go ahead and select this and you will see https://www.ghsconnect.com in the field to add to compatibility view. After adding, the screen will flash white for a second and then return to the GHS Connect webpage.
Next go to Tools and select Internet Options
Select the tab for Security & then highlight the Trusted Sites green checkmark and then click the Sites button. Add GHS Connect to trusted sites (if you do not complete this step some GHS Connect applications will fail to launch).
