Interschool Sport final
On the last day of Term 1 the boys and girls basketball teams earned the opportunity to compete in the Summer Interschool sports final. Both teams finished top of the ladder which gave
us a home court advantage.
The girls were up first against Holy Eucharist Primary school. The girls got off to a brilliant start and continued their great form throughout the match. Final scores were St.
Augustine's:26 Holy Eucharist:6
The boys played against St.Albans East Primary School. This game was basket for basket the entire way through. The skill level and intensity was very high from both schools. Thankfully a few late scores got us across the line. Final Scores were St.
Augustine's 18 St.Albans East 13
Both Teams move on to represent our district at a Divisional level later in the year.
Well done to both teams!

Soccer Gala Day
On the Thursday the 20th April the St.Augustine's boys soccer team travelled to Green Gully soccer club to participate in the district soccer tournament. Sebastian S, Lewis L, John C, Dylan H, Kristian J, Basil Z, Brian C, Zac M, Jack C, Ethan D, Anthony G, Joshua P, Dylan L, Fabian B and Michael P were among the young team.
In the first game St. Augustine's came away with a 3-0 win. In the second match we won by a whopping five goals to nil. The toughest game by far was a 2-2 thriller against St.Albans who would become the team St.Augustine's played in the Grand Final. In the last game before the final it was an easy win 4-1 against Holy Eucharist.
It was the Grand Final game, the boys hearts were pumping, they were ready to play. Half time finished, it was still 0-0 but just after the start of the second half, Jack C finished a one on one with the keeper to make it 1-0. The game went on but it was St.Augustines who finished the game 1 goal to nil.
Well done to all the boys in the team for a great day out on the pitch.
We are now given the opportunity to represent St. Augustine's at a divisional level later in the year.
A BIG thanks to Joe Palma for refereeing and coaching the games and also to Zak Zoccali for attending the day and keeping the boys energy levels up with oranges and lollies!

ANZAC Remembrance Prayer Service
We gathered by the half mast flag on Monday April 24th to reflect on those who had given their lives in wars and conflicts so we may live in freedom and peace.
Jayden (1/2B) and his mum helped to raise the flag as we prayed for those on active service including Jayden's dad and asked God's blessing on us all as we strive for peace, tolerance and acceptance of all.
