01 – Ideas and Reference
Think of a combination of these things…
02 – Sketches
These sketches were used in determining
common movements that Eyler would
use in the game. They were based upon
the narrative given for The story used in
the Professor Johnsons game writing
course and my final GDD for that class.
02 – Sketches
The comic version of Eyler in Action
03 – Final 3D
This was the final character
Sheet that was given to Professor
Johnson for the course. I feel
that I captured the style that
I was going for after working
out some confusion with the
story and the styles.
04 – Analysis
The overall design of Eyler fit my story well. I wanted to capture the every-man in him, yet let him have hidden extraordinary gifts while maintaining the comic style feel to the story. My biggest change was a realization of the graphic nature of the original story that Professor Johnson helped me with more than anything else in the course. I had conflicting components to this character and the overall stories that were later fixed.
