721 B.C. Samaria and Israel• 701 B.C. 2 lakhs captives of Judah also- Hezekiah was king
• 606 B.C. Juda fell to Babylon- Daniel was taken captive as a boy• 597 B.C. More captives- Ezekiel was taken captive to Babylon• 586 B.C Jerusalem destroyed- Jeremiah flees to Egypt• Ezekiel in Babylon 597 to 570 B.C.• CAPTIVITY in Babylon lasted TILL 536 B.C.(70 years)• Ezekiel saw visions for this period but they are hard to
understand

• Ezekiel would have been Jeremiah’s student and known Daniel in Babylon (14:14)
• He lived in a village called Tel Habib• As captive lived in Chebar river and dug cannel for ships
to go from Tigris to Euphrates and to Nippur.• It is a place about 50 miles SE of Babylon about 40 miles
away from Fara, the home of Noah and 100 miles away from garden of Eden
• From there he saw visions about far away Jerusalem
